Maybe they can't do a PWG vs AEW show then but maybe they could do a PWG themed episode of Colision and have The Young Bucks dress up how they did in PWG etc.

....they still do.

I think a few of you are really overestimating the name value of PWG.

Agreed with the idea of nicking the Mystery Vortex. With the huge roster and access to other companies they could do some utterly brilliant bonkers stuff. Would be an excellent use of one of those 3 hour Dynamite slogs they sometimes have.

Less people care about PWG than ROH and no one cares about ROH.

BUT it's TK and he's a fanboy at heart so it wouldn't surprise me if he did something one day. You know he's driven by his indie heart sometimes.

They do to a point but The Young Bucks do constantly change their attire.

I just meant they put on the attire they wore for one of their famous PWG matches they had.

Yes I agree that some including me value PWG way more then we should but for a brief period of time PWG was AEW before AEW existed but we didn't get it all the time. It was once a month we got great wrestling.

Collision has the ad breaks chopped out again this week, which is nice.

Have to scroll way too far to find a show that was on 12 hours ago though - it's not in the "What's new" section for some reason, so have to go past things like archive recaps of Omega's 2021 title reign and Maple Leaf Pro shows to find it. That's another slight annoyance about MyAEW sometimes.

Oh, sorry, should keep it on topic - there were probably some PWG alumni on the show in some capacity.

I'd love AEW to do a PWG-themed show like one of those Old-School Raw episodes but instead of Sgt Slaughter and Ron Simmons, AEW wheel out The Human Tornado, Arrogance, Top Gun Talwar, Super Dragon and Scrap Iron Adam Pearce Kenny King*.

It would pop about 30 people watching but I'd be one of them.

*Definitely not Joey Ryan though. Even in my biggest PWG indy wank phase I thought he was shit.

I loved Chris Bosh and Scott Lost. Genuinely underrated workers. Last I heard was that Bosh now works on a farm in Texas. I enjoyed that early PWG period the most, once it turned into the super mega dream match indy it lost its charm and I lost interest.

Yeah I'm the same actually. Give me a 12 minute Hook Bomberry vs Colt Cabana opener over a 50 minute Young Bucks vs Briscoes main event any day.

As it’s on there for no extra charge, I figured I’d give Maple Lead Pro a go with the latest episode of their TV. First face on the show is Mauro Ranallo. We’re not off to the best of starts

Is he as infuriatingly over the top as he was in NXT? Was also thinking of giving them a watch but watched an old Takeover last week, think it was when the Keith Lee possibly retiring was mentioned. Anyhow stuck Takeover Portland on to see him and Dijak tear it up, put it on mute as Mauro just took the piss in how much shit he was talking!!

I only ended up watching the first match, Stu Grayson v Johnathan Gresham, as I got a call to go into work early. He wasn’t as loud as he was in NXT, but all the bad habits were still there. As it was only the opening match he was probably saving his utter obnoxious shit for something later in the show. Forgot to mention as well that Don Callis is on colour commentary with him, just to really make matters worse

Speaking of Gresham, even after all this time I still can’t get into anything he does, and I’ll admit it’s purely because of his size. I know that’s a ridiculous way to think about things and all that jazz, but Stu Grayson, who isn’t massive by any stretch of the imagination looks like The Warlord in comparison.

for me the problem with Gresham is that he's really short, but he's bulked up to such a ridiculous degree, so he doesn't look like a short wrestler, he looks like a massive wrestler who got shrunk in the wash. He never wrestles enough like the underdog his size should make him.
