I’m also reading that the first fight won’t start until an hour after the show starts. So yeah, as expected, if anyone’s mad enough to stay up and try to watch this live, be prepared for a shit ton of waffle and filler. In other news, this is apparently legit. Trump’s son DMing Daniel Cormier, asking him if any of the fights are gonna be rigged. DC posted the DMs but someone obviously had a word and he’s since deleted it. But his excuse is so quintessentially Trumpian, requiring so many leaps in logic and not holding up to any scrutiny whatsoever, that he might as well have just admitted to it. At this point, I don’t know why they even bother. It’d be easier to just post, “yup, all true, we’re all corrupt pieces of shit living in the, “nothing fucking matters,” era. I gave Gaethje zero chance going in and assumed Topuria would brutally finish him early. What a way to win your first undisputed belt - Dethroning what many considered the p4p guy in the sport in a blood and guts war. I was heavy on the fast forward so missed the majority of the Trump glazing. Pereira looked like he didn't belong at heavyweight when the fight got going. Gane looked good here but there were probably 5/6 back of the head shots during the finish... He can't help himself. Rest of the card was an easy watch fight wise.
