Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 6 Paid Members Posted February 6 Further confirmation that Russo is the most tragic figure in wrestling history. Imagine coming out of an exchange with VINCE MCMAHON and looking like a much bigger twat. Thoroughly recommended reading if you would to die of cringe. Quote
Members SuperBacon Posted February 6 Members Posted February 6 "You have a very high opinion of yourself, and a ton of failure at WCW" You just know that absolutely killed Russo. I bet he's thought of nothing since. Quote
NeverYield Posted February 6 Posted February 6 🤣 Russo really put his waders on and went in deep with that last reply didn't he. He seems to be gaining a small following of dedicated weekly viewers on JCW lately, but I bet Vinces smoking gun of a reply has always wound him up upon thinking of it. Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted February 7 Paid Members Posted February 7 God I can’t stand Russo. Find him absolutely unbearable. Genuinely don’t know how anyone could actually sit and listen to him, or why they’d willingly subject themselves to the torture of it. And it’s not just the constant “BRO-ing” either, although that’s bad enough. The way he talks where he’s basically shouting but really slowly, dragging every word out for as long as possible, winds me the fuck up. That’s before you even get to the actual content of the utter bollocks he comes out with as well. Cornette’s got his own issues but his hatred of Russo is one thing I’m completely with him on. Quote

I've had a look at a few of the episodes lately, seems to be lots of people who 'haven't watched weekly wrestling in years' in the comments, or 'this is now the only weekly pro wrestling I watch', I don't personally see how that could be, but there you go 🤣 Quote
Paid Members DCW Posted February 7 Paid Members Posted February 7 A few clips from Stevie Richards' podcast showed up on my Youtube feed recently (if ever there was a sign wrestling pods are at saturation point!) so I gave a few a listen. He actually wasn't as irritating as I assumed he would be, but when he let slip that he was a Russo fan, that was enough for me. Quote
IronSheik Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I've always found Russo entertaining to listen to and respected the part he played in my favourite era in wrestling with the WWF. (His WCW output was putrid) But fucking hell, this is embarrassing for him. He'll be kicking himself in retrospect. Quote

Every midcarder from WWF/WCW ‘98/‘99 will absolutely love the bloke, one thing you can say about him is he always gave everyone something to do, even if it was forgotten about after a fortnight or made no sense Quote

Paid Members Arch Stanton Posted February 7 Paid Members Posted February 7 (edited) The frustrating thing about Russo is that he does make some good points, and probably would contribute some good ideas, but he's just such a monumental overbearing weirdo that nobody in their right mind can work with him. That email exchange is hilarious. Amazing that he actually manages to get a foot in, but uses it to kick off before his arse is even through the door. McMahon is like 'Fuck that, this cunt hasn't changed at all'. Edited February 7 by Arch Stanton Quote
Rossman Posted February 7 Posted February 7 (edited) Russo: Hi Vince, hope you're well, not looking for a job or anything Mcmahon: Hi Vince, hope you're well Russo: Can I be a consultant please. Absolute toss pot. Edited February 7 by Rossman Quote

Not particularly a fan of Russo, but I did like that aspect of his booking. Edited February 7 by Carbomb Morten Gamst Pedersen Quote

TheScarlettChad Posted February 7 Posted February 7 I loved that his big idea in 2002 was redoing the invasion, and they told him to (rightfully) fuck off. Absolute hack. Quote
