Thanks @Tim Healys Chutney Spoon and @ultimo the great for your kind words. I'm back in North Wales now and to be honest, doing this takes my mind off of things. Most of the donkey work of double-checking cup draws and start times happens weeks in advance anyhow, so if we were to skip a round it'd probably be next month. But barring forum downtime or a global pandemic, I'm not feeling a need to put the competition on hold as things stand.

That said, my mind clearly wasn't in the game this past week. Not only was I by far the worst performer in a high-scoring round, I didn't even notice that Stinky hadn't played until Sunday night after I put the results into the opening post and totted up everybody else's scores. Normally I'd have done a head count by Saturday evening at the latest and realised we had an absentee - the first full missed round this season, as opposed to someone just picking late.

All of which means Tilde moves up to second place and there's also an inevitable change at the bottom. In mid-table, Gooner made it into double figures and also climbs one spot. The randomly selected "wildcard" fixture was, unusually, match #1 at Dean Court, with nobody getting the exact scoreline right, but three people went for a draw of some sort to claim a bonus point apiece.

Elsewhere, wins for Brighton, Palace, Villa and Arsenal's men plus Hull Ladies all proved fruitful, although defeats for Sunderland and Man City alongside both the Italian outcomes caught most participants out. Right, new set of 10 coming up, including another of those pesky D2D turns we need to get out of the way before Christmas. That should appear shortly in the original post.

Thank you. Pleased to learn you're fine - or at least healthy enough to take part - now, so not giving up. I've been on this forum for more than half my life and while it hasn't always been plain sailing, the remaining regulars are all a solid bunch these days.

Anyhow, I realise this update is on the late side, but we are in the middle of the first full Premier League midweek round of the season, so I'm proceeding on the basis that nobody is likely to want to make their picks until at least full time tonight.

The final scores were up in the initial post on Sunday night, and the table's been figured out since then too. Tilde got his D2D bet correct by unusually opting for a draw, with five other players wrongly dissenting. I was the only person who thought Chelsea might win because it'd be nice to have an actual title race this term. That moves him clear ahead of third place, while also closing the gap on ultimo to eight points.

Without bonuses, Rory would've been highest scorer as the sole participant with more than one exact score, albeit still not into double figures. Chutney Spoon was the worst performer, allowing the deficit at the bottom to be cut slightly to five. You wait ages for the randomly selected "wildcard" game to be match #1, then it happens two weeks in a row! A lot of people rightly plumped for a home win at Lionel Road, but the only beneficiary of a spot-on scoreline was MVP RULZ who therefore nabs the bonus points all for himself.

Scoring wasn't too bad this time considering the average is based on 9 results rather than 10. Just 1 of 20 Scottish Cup ties were called off due to the terrible weather, and as our rotten luck would have it, the match I'd selected was the one that fell victim. In accordance with our rules, if it'd been recovered to completion last night or tonight then all guesses would still have counted, but it's been rearranged for this weekend coming so all picks are null and void, I'm afraid.

That leaves just seven more outcomes to round up then: the two German matches caught most people out (though Leverkusen actually got a measure of revenge on Dortmund in the cup last night), while an escape by the odd goal in seven for Bordeaux meant that tie was generally good for one-pointers. Closer to home, victories for Sunderland, Newcastle Utd, Man Utd and Liverpool all produced a mixed bag of guesses.

In further evidence that I've not really been with it lately, it's come to my attention that the only remaining first D2D turn of the campaign is, er, my own. So let's get that out of the way as part of a new card at the top of the thread in a jiffy.
