How do we think Claudio v Moxley will go down? If its on last then I reckon we'll see the DR split. If its not then I think we'll see shenanigans between the 2 of them to contrive the result to suit the DR.

I think Claudio wins. Looks like a cracking show. 3 excellent CC matches, a wacky fun Toni Storm plunder match and a spine tingling exciting promo battle between Kingston and Joe.

I don’t think we’ll see them split just yet, it feels a bit early in the context of this tournament. Instead, I think we’ll see the seeds planted for when their time in the CC concludes.

I know I'm a month late in replying to this*, but I agree.

Rather than a Hangman feud, I really wanted them to bring Jericho back around now and work a short program with Big Bill - for a nice bit of symmetry, maybe doing the honours to him in Cardiff as we went absolutely mad for Big Bill there last year.

*Had a few weeks off from AEW as I thought it was getting really quite bad before WrestleDream. I'm now 100% caught up and I can confirm it has navigated this tricky period and is good again. Very much enjoying it!

it's ridiculous that Jericho built a reputation for a guy as himself who would do business and put people over, made it part of his character in AEW, then took the criticisms that nobody who works with him ever actually gets over so much to heart that he made it all part of his final gimmick, and yet never even let Big Bill and Bryan Keith get their hands on him on the way out - he just walked out on them, they looked like idiots, and they've never recovered. Obviously he's going back to WWE, having his farewell run there, and being treated as a returning hero by people who have been calling him "washed" for years, but leaving without ever putting over the two guys it was explicitly his role to get over should really be the final word on his career.

On the subject of Jericho, I’m wondering what the odds are of him turning up in TNA  rather than WWE or AEW. They need something extra if they’re going to retain viewers on AMC, and maybe they’d be willing to throw a wad of cash his way for a year of his time, before he wraps up his career at Saudi-Mania in 2027. 

Heck, I wouldn’t be shocked to see some sort of joint deal in which he wrestles for both WWE and TNA, with WWE being perfectly happy to use him as a tool as they attempt to position TNA as their nearest rival.

That’s pretty much what they did with the Hardys this year so perfectly plausible

I think Jericho returns at the Rumble, and has a 'Mania programme, leading into retirement match and a Hall of Fame induction in 2027. But I was just thinking this morning that I would put money on him holding the TNA Title at some point next year.

There's a built-in storyline for him in TNA with Mike Santana too, if they wanted to go that way.

WWE are going to offer him a big money nostalgia run and that's exactly what he'll want. He might turn up in TNA once or twice as part of any working agreement they have with WWE but I think there's close to zero chance he would sign a contract with TNA.

Doesn’t necessarily mean he’d sign a contract with TNA, or at least a partnership in isolation - but I could absolutely see him working with both companies, with them making it abundantly clear on WWE television that this was happening. He’s obviously been very complimentary about them, and I wonder if it’s because there’s a legitimate chance he’ll be working there for a spell.

When TNA moves to AMC, I think there’s a real chance WWE will loan them some main roster names - the likes of AJ Styles, Jericho, Motor City Machine Guns, LA Knight and Chelsea Green. People (aside from Jericho) who have links to the company and that WWE wouldn’t miss for short periods of time, or even just one show. They wouldn’t necessarily even have to wrestle - it would purely be about giving the company a lift to ‘compete’ with AEW. 

Not that I think competing with AEW is a bad thing, three healthy companies and places of employment for wrestlers is much better than two, and AEW being forced play their best hand each week isn’t a bad thing either.

I was thinking about this too, with Claudio winning the CMLL World title on Friday, that another layer to this too. I'm with @RedTwoster, it feels too soon for a split but I think we'll see some dissension. Looking past World's End we've got the Revolution PPV in March which TK seems to be building up as AEW's second biggest show of the year, I wonder if we could get Mox/Claudio and Okada/Takeshita there.

I’m curious as to what they see the end game as being for this. I’m hoping it’s Team Mox vs Team Death Riders, with Moxkey being supported by his former enemies - including, I hope, Bryan Danielson. But I don’t see Claudio, PAC, Yuta and Garcia being a strong enough team by themselves to feel like credible opponents against a team that includes Moxley and Bryan, or even Moxley and Darby. The need someone else - whether it’s Gabe Kidd, or someone else entirely. But they need a credible Moxley successor to make this match feel like it has stakes.
