I quite liked it. Speaking of themes, I assumed Hangman had a new one at Full Gear; I had no idea it was from the Red Dead Redemption 2 game (had to Google it)...

If Collision doesn’t break Dynamite’s streak of ‘best TV show’ wins at the UKFF Awards this year, you’re all insane. What a great episode of wrestling television. 

Promo of the year from Eddie Kingston? That was absolutely beautiful, and I really hope Kingston is about to get his Mick Foley moment, being carried aloft by Swerve and Hangman, triumphantly holding the AEW title above his head after toppling Joe. If that’s been the plan all along, I’m totally good with that. If it isn’t, DO IT, TONY!!

Pac/Speedball was a lot of fun, and pretty much all of the Continental matches were, although it’s still insane that the Continental belt is at stake here over the Unified title.

The Brodido promo worried me a bit, it made me feel like the direction of travel is Brody King challenging for the ROH belt. I hope I’m wrong, and that Bandido drops the title, moving to the AEW main roster full time. Bandido is a weirdly good promo. He’s not particularly charismatic, but he sounds like a real person, no mean feat for someone wearing a full face mask. 

Garcia cut another brilliant promo and I’m totally with @Supremo on Moxley. He’s playing his role extremely well. There’s something about Garcia’s promos though - a hint of sadness, as if he’s trying to convince himself he’s doing the right thing. I’m not sure what it is exactly, but it’s a bit heartbreaking, watching him take a dark path. He’s brilliant, and the further removed from his cruddy stint alongside Jericho, the more obvious that is.

Okada continues to be fantastic, saying something arsey to provoke Takeshita, then grinning like a twat as his nemesis loses his cool. 

Ricochet is great, but the National title is a waste of time, both for him and the company.

I can’t wait until The Gunns reunite. The Bang Bang Gang feels very makeshift, and it’s hard to buy into them without the full team being present (side note: I’d have quite liked to have seen Ace Austin in the Continental Classic). 

Overall, a brilliant show - made even better by Eddie Kingston being sensational.

Eddie's promo was fantastic and exactly what I've been waiting for since he got back. It took a while but he's back. Brilliant stuff and I applauded in my living room. Can he beat Joe? Will we have an Eddie Kingston Championship Celebration in Manchester the week after? Can we? For Christmas, Tony, please?

Really enjoyed Pac/Speedball too, they matched each other really well. I love the Continental Classic but I truly hope they don't split the titles. Maybe the National title just exists so Ricochet can get a comeuppance by having his belt gobbled up by the other two shortly after World's End to be a unified-unified title.

I wasn't so worried by the Brodido promo, that felt to me like a set-up for "here's a big enough match with enough other people in it that we can get the ROH title off Bandido, and therefore get Bandido the hell out of ROH, without him losing any momentum". I want Bandido to move up a level (and wonder if maybe that's why he isn't in the CC, because with the Takeshita-Okada storyline and the Death Riders element, he would never be winning it) but I'd like to think they're too sensible to break Brodido up. They're too good as a duo.

Okada is sensational winding up Takeshita. What an absolute dick. Can't wait for him to get clobbered in the finals.

Look at the state of Cody on Smackdown.

WWE Champion for 15 out of the last 18 months, and not a single memorable moment that doesn't involve Kevin Owens.

Maybe it is because the Attitude Era was my gateway to wrestling, but I am finding the long reigns a bit boring now, especially on the WWE side where it feels like title changes only happen at big events. 

Anyways, an Eddie Kingston title celebration might convince me to get tickets to Manchester.

I mean it's pretty irrelevant what WWE are doing with anyone. Doesn't impact on Hangman's booking does it?

There are plenty of things that AEW and TK have done well since they began that WWE have been incapable of doing over the years.

I’m wondering if they’re putting the Continental title on the line because they don’t want to have Okada reach the final, but they do want to get to Takeshita/Okada.

If it’s Takeshita/Okada in the CC, it’s a match that’s happened through circumstance - it doesn’t necessarily give you that cathartic moment of Takeshita finally having enough.

However, if Takeshita beats - for example - Kyle Fletcher in the final it allows him to have a celebration ceremony with the Callis Family in which he looks troubled, and explains he’s not happy because he didn’t want to be Continental Champion - he wanted to be Unified Champion, pointing to Okada and his International Belt. Fletcher losing to Takeshita in the final would give the rest of the family further justification to be at odds with Takeshita, and turn on him. 

From there, both belts really can be combined, and the Unified title can be defended in the CC from then on.

No, it doesn't.

More the case that long babyface title Reigns can be pretty boring, like the Cody one in WWE.

Not sure Joe was the right answer, but I dont see a problem in getting Hangman back in the title chase rather than the holder.

It depends on how you present the babyface, though. WWE has a tendency to make their top babyface characters look invulnerable, and/or kinda flawless. They don’t usually have a great deal of depth.

Hangman m, on the other hand, is a flawed character who acknowledges his own failings. If he was going to drop the title, I’d rather it be to someone more interesting.

That said, if the end result of this is Eddie Kingston becoming champion, it was a brilliant decision and Tony Khan is god.
