Just had a squiz at this. Love the fact that the ref (who I think might be Scott Conway?) is in a Newcastle shirt. And not just any one, that one from the mid 90s that had the shield on the back to put the number in. It's blank, and I'm not sure if that's better or worse than having a number on it when using it for this purpose.

So I've got a ticket for another rev pro event. It's the revolution rumble which I think is like the royal rumble. I'm actually really hoping that Simon Miller is in it lol

This RAW house show including a Dutch Mantell promo worded in such a way that he got a crowd in a city with a 100% Labour council to cheer GOP gains in the US midterms. And also this (at the Princess Hall named after the micro-royal who opened it, not whatever a "Princes Art Centre" is supposed to be). 

Not proud of the latter given who the promoter – formerly of this parish – is, but it was a 5-minute walk from where I was living at the time and affordable. Besides, pandemic restrictions on attending sporting events had only just been lifted, and I at least got to chat to the late ring announcer John Short during the interval.

If I don't include the events I go to as a photographer for a promotion, then embarrassingly the answer is 1.  Summerslam 1992.  In those days a company called Silvervision offered WWF video tapes and they had an offer for Summerslam tickets.  When we went we were not expecting great seats as the tickets were not that expensive at the time.  We ended up about 10 rows from the ring on the opposite side to the entrance for wrestlers.

Got a ticket to an independent promotion called chaos wrestling on Saturday. Dani luna is there. She had match of the night at the last event I went to. This one is near me which is nice

Sad day when it stopped being used in favour of just the little “Coliseum Video” bumper for the early 93 roster. But not as sad as the loss of the characteristic blue spine.

There were a few Britwres shows I went to with my mum and then step-dad when I was a young 'un. The two that stick in my head are one I saw on Central Pier in Blackpool where Klondike Kate wrestled a chap with a Bushwacker style gimmick. They also had a Royal Rumble match, and one of the entrants had a broken leg. I think his name was Andy Strong? He hobbled down to the ring in his cast, got in, then was immediately eliminated and hobbled back out. 

I also remember one at King George's Hall, Blackburn. One of the matches was Big Daddy and a guy to take all the bumps Vs a team called the UK Undertakers? It was the last match before the interval. During the interval the man came out to do autographs but had forgotten to bring a pen so he borrowed mine, then signed my autograph book as thanks afterwards. 

The first American wrestling I saw was WCW's Real Event at the GMEX in Manchester. Saturday, March 13th 1993. My mum got me tickets for Christmas 92. Cracking night. I got to see Davey Boy, Vinnie Vegas, Cactus Jack, Rick Rude, Dustin Rhodes, Vader, and Sting as the WCW World Heavyweight Champion. 

First WWE show I went to was a Smackdown house show in Sheffield in I think 2003? Rey Mysterio wrestled Sean O'Haire, and the main event was Los Guerreros and Rikishi Vs the FBI. The people sat in front of us spent the whole match chanting for Johnny The Bull. It was probably the universe paying us back for when we wound up the crowd by cheering very loudly for Shark Boy at that WWA show.

Apparently these are the matches you had for those two according to the usual sites and some in person reports ;

... easy to conflate. I can't believe I didn't know this already but you also got to see Brock Lesnar vs John Cena for the belt. Although obviously a different animal in 2003 to what it would become.

I mean, I shouldn't be jealous considering I've seen Bret vs Owen for the WWF title, numerous other belters for many of the top titles, and Okada vs Naito... but I'm still a little jealous.

This is true. I also went to a house show at the MEN where Benoît curtain jerked against Albert (the pyro set the fire alarm off) and the main event that time was Angle and Undertaker Vs Lesnar and Cena. 

I also attended the first Raw and Smackdown tapings in the UK, and at the Smackdown taping we got a dark match of Undertaker Vs Heidenreich. The one Raw house show we attended had Shawn Vs HHH before the interval.
