JimmyAnderson Posted June 1, 2024 Posted June 1, 2024 Are they stopping Dynamite, and touring, for a while? Just looking at the events on their website and there's no Dynamites advertised after July 10th and then every Collision after that is advertised as Arlington, Texas. Quote

Collision will have a residency in Arlington for most of the summer. Dynamite will still be on the road. The residency may have changed their plans on what the schedule would look like and that's being redone hence the delay, but shows not being announced a month or so out isn't that unusual for AEW. One of the many contributing factors why their attendances continue to struggle. Quote
Paid Members JLM Posted June 1, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 1, 2024 Yeah they’re calling it the path to All In Summer series. A bunch of Collisions and ROH Death before Dishonor all at the same arena, but Dynamite will continue touring. Quote

Paid Members LaGoosh Posted June 2, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 2, 2024 Finally caught up on Dynamite. Good show overall with some obvious flaws. This Jericho stuff is basically exactly the same as Jericho Appreciation Society with a new coat of shitty paint. Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted June 4, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 4, 2024 Whew! Look at these megastars. Some extremely good looking people. Couldn’t think of two people I’d rather build a company around. I’m more convinced than ever that the reason WWE are allowing all these contracts to lapse is so that when the time comes they’ll have saved enough money to offer Willow Nightingale a Brock Lesnar-level contract. She’s the best. Quote
Mr.Showtime Posted June 6, 2024 Posted June 6, 2024 What in the bejeesus is the end game for this Jericho stuff? I've tried so hard to not let it irritate me up to now, but the segments on this Dynamite were unbearable. Even seeing him get his face kicked in isn't going to make it any better. Quote

He'll dethrone Swerve and tell everyone that working with him will elevate him even more. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted June 6, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 6, 2024 (edited) I think it was a good show. Good opening promo/brawl with MJF and RUSH, great main event that made Swerve look like the man, Ospreay vs. Fenix booked for next week, Timeless Toni being brilliant, Danielson announcing himself for the Owen, Mark Briscoe Mark Briscoe-ing, The Acclaimed getting their segment cut, Swerve dancing with a grandmother as the show went off the air. All top stuff. Plus, of course; Willow and Orange Cassidy with the limp fist bump backstage. Fucking get in! Two of my favourite acts in wrestling. My version of the Mega Powers! Proper AEW, that. Just boss characters being mates together. But yeah. The Jericho stuff sucks the life out of everything. How many segments was that last night? Five? SIX?! It’s the absolute pits and he’s the worst wrestler of the year. Worst thing is that he seems to think this is a great act and he’s managed to turn it around by playing into it. You haven’t, Chris. Leaning into bad heat is just more bad heat. Baron Corbin as GM-levels of, “oh, just fuck off,” energy. Even WWE doesn’t do this stuff anymore. Complete dog shit. Edited June 6, 2024 by Supremo Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted June 6, 2024 Paid Members Posted June 6, 2024 Tony Khan would probably let me have a segment on Dynamite if I asked nice enough, so there's no way he's telling Chris Jericho his shit stinks. The lad's a jabroni. Quote
