Underrated wrestling theme songs

If you ignore some of the worst lyrics ever, the instrumental to this is triumphant. Sounds like  a 2000s Just Blaze production. 
 

Poor Kona could not pull off the gimmick at all though, bless him.

Most memorable part about Glacier was after what felt like 3 years of build up for this game-changing Mortal Kombat concept he finally made his debut looking like some twat in a power rangers costume facing Big Bubba Boss Man who did exactly what you would expect your uncle to do in the same situation after a couple of pints….he of course did the mocking karate kid crane kick pose to laughter from the crowd. Gimmick was dead 2 minutes after the debut.

I’m told that when The Glace was relegated to C-show obscurity he had an entertaining feud with our own Chris Adams based on the cryonic kick vs the super kick.

back to underrated themes, apologies if this has been posted already but this Paula Orndorff/Pretty Wonderful banger was as much a part of the soundtrack of ITV Saturday afternoons in 93-94 as the Beadles About and Blind Date themes

Simply Ravishing was a down grade much like all the Slam Jam songs, his best theme was his Janet Jackson Black Cat rip off when he was the Don of the dangerous alliance and best wrestler in the world in 1992

I’m ready to die on the hill that any WCW theme with lyrics is a downgrade from the prior theme it replaced eg Rude, Sting, Steiners, Steamboat, Dustin Rhodes, Barry Windham, Ron Simmons…

While we’re on WCW, the original Harlem Heat theme before Booker went singles and they ruined it with his “Can You Dig It Suckaaaa?” shite. Them fruit booties should’ve left it how it was.

Vader's 1st theme ('Heavenly Thunder' by Chris Tsangarides) is a belter and I've mentioned on the forum once before is actually Mean Mark's theme as well but only the middle section around 1:17 in the track.

Nah, this actually sounds quite American to me. I think it's the addition of the glockenspiel - just makes it sound more like an American marching band than a British one. Also, the melody sounds a little too jaunty - needs to be more stately.

“Can you dig it sucka” was WWE jiggery fuckery. Hot on the heels of that, they ruined one of the most iconic tunes in wrestling entrance history by adding a “Wooooo!” at the start. You know, in case people didn’t know Ric fucking Flair was coming down by the bars of the music alone. It was not fair to Flair. They seemed to have a weird obsession with everybody having something as punchy as Austin’s glass shattering as though only something unique could be instantly recognisable as Wrestler A for that immediate pop.

Let’s not absolve WCW of any blame however ; main event Booker T had his music start with the irredeemably awful quote “Don’t hate the player ; hate the game.” Wonder why WWE changed that? Who nose.

Oh I hated the way they’d shoehorn a catchphrase in at the start of theme songs. The Rock? Fair enough that worked. But shit like this…

“How Do You Like Me Now?” And it always sounded more like Michael Cole to me than old Bully Bob.

I always hated this one, totally worthless. The habit peaked either here or when Steven Richards' theme had "I'LL SHOW YOU, YOU'LL SEE!" at the start.
