The results of the actual matches went into the opening post on Monday night, with the FPL Cup scores slipping into Tuesday morning. Oh, and the table's been updated now too. None of the FPL Cup meetings ended in draws this time.

With regard to the two late pickers: even though we don't include Saturday lunchtime starts, 2 o'clock is considered fair game. In fact, the tie I attended this past Saturday kicked off at that time (six goals for three quid – not too shabby) so there's no excuse. At least that duo actually played though, unlike seph who is now getting cast adrift in the main competition, even if he isn't doing too badly in the Cup. In the specific case of Shy Dad: no, we won't make any exceptions if Hereford end up on Friday night again in a couple of weeks.

Anyway, both of those avoided being lowest scorer as Rory took that dubious honour to sink to sixth on a 'nice' overall points total. At the top, ultimo extends his lead by a point, whilst Stinky is the round's biggest climber, his regular total of a dozen (out of 27 due to the abandonment of Belgium-Sweden) being augmented by wildcard bonuses. The randomly selected fixture was match #3, Norway v Spain, where everyone correctly went for an away win, but only he got the scoreline spot on.

Elsewhere, further away victories for Portugal, Ireland, Holland and Slovakia and a home success for Northern Ireland were almost universally good for at least one-pointers as international weeks are traditionally high-scoring like that. On the other hand, triumphs for Hungary and Wales plus a controversial Merseyside derby outcome caught most people out.

A new set of 10 will be up in the first post shortly, as the men's side of things returns to proper football and we knock off a couple of Championship D2Ds over the next fortnight.
