Ange was fuming last night about the "fragility" inside and outside the club and he's bang on to feel like that. He's a manager doing a job, and a winner. He obviously cannot understand why a whole stadium would cheer a loss for their team, and he's 100% correct to feel like that. He is not a Spurs fan. Conversely, I don't think there's anything wrong with wanting your biggest rivals to not win a title and those people aren't wrong either. It was a unique situation, and 99.9% of any other team would feel the same I'd bet. Did I want to win? Yes, I'm a Spurs fan, and regardless of the jokes and memes etc, I wanted to win, as I always do. Was I incredibly gutted when we didn't win? No if I'm being honest. "Small club mentality" "loser fanbase" I couldn't give a shit. But like I say, at the same time I get why the manager would be angry. I certainly would be too. The other thing is people saying "Why is Son laughing with Pep after losing????" Because maybe Pep said something funny to him and he responded like a normal human being. Not everything is that deep is it? Anyway, last night was a laugh. Arsenal fans got to experience what it's like to support a team with Hojbjerg in it, and how frustrating that is (Punkys texts to me were hilarious. NOW YOU SEE WHY IM WO MISERABLE!!!) and they also got to experience what it's like to support a North London club for once waaaaaheereeeeeeeeeey.

Yeah I was being a little flippant, but definitely agree for the most part. There's a stark difference between professionals who are doing there jobs and fans with different priorities in a unique scenario. I imagine the Spurs players were gutted to be missing out on Champions League football and the accompanying bonuses for doing so. Also find it a bit mad that people can't get their heads around the idea that players and other football people (managers etc) can have a laugh while still doing their jobs. They're still human beings. The idea that they should be in a constant state of passionate rage is all very Richard Keys/Andy Gray. I think for me, I just can't imagine ever cheering on Arsenal losing in that scenario, it doesn't compute for me, but that's just the way my brain is wired, not knocking it if that's what brings others enjoyment and I can see the other side of it logically, just wouldn't be for me. COME ON FEEL THE MOYES! Sorry...I feel dirty now. In fairness, I'd normally be with you given how much I loathe West Ham fans in general, but needs must (they don't, the "title race" has been over for a while now in reality). Still, taking City, at least mathematically, to the last day, rather than collapsing entirely feels like growth and progression and I'd wager we'll be in contention again this time next year. Also very happy to have avoided the stress of trying to get Top 4 in the dying embers of the season as per a few years ago, so it's not all doom and gloom.

Actively cheering for another club or your own club losing to deny a rival winning a league or trophy is something that I absolutely cannot or will not ever understand. Especially when the club benefiting is Manchester City.

I remember back when all League Cup games were two legs watching Lincoln beat City 4-1 at Sincil Bank before going to Maine Road and beating them 1-0 there. Every club out there would get on the petro dollar teat if they could so that bothers me less as well.
