Jeff Hardy was convicted with 10 days jail time in 2011 and wouldn't come back to the UK until 2017. Plenty of TNA UK tours and tapings missed.

He just received another imprisonment with 38 days time served this year. Unless there's been some significant changes to the law. He ain't coming.

What about Willow?

I think unfortunately, their roster is so big, that if everyone that the fans wanted on the show, were on it, and given the time they deserved, the show would end up being way too long, when it’s touch and go as it is.

I’m just happy to be getting the card we have, as it looks like it’ll be a great show.

I'm surprised we don't seem to be getting a Casino Rumble thing to chuck load of bodies on the card. I can see a fair few pissed off wrestlers if they don't at least get a pre show match and Cole and MJF do.

From Khan's perspective I'm not surprised. The thing is going to cost a fortune (yes he is making a shit tonne off it). He has to buy plane tickets etc to get these guys over here I'm assuming (unless private jet?).

I mean how would they fly the jags over and the crew for the nfl games?

I've booked jets for work for approx $120k and gives some space for some luggage not much though and about 12 people

Yeah but there's no merch money coming in 'cause AEW are clueless in that regard. I hope someone is outside selling bootleg foam scissor fingers from the back of a van.

Where has this come from, as I hadn’t seen anything pointing towards there not being any merch stalls?

There's been a fair bit of talk about how they barely stock merch for their home shows, how the deal with PWT and "print-on-demand" makes it difficult but I do hope I'm wrong.

They primarily use Pro-Wrestling tees who are a print to order company.

For live shows, they typically print less than you’d imagine as they don’t have the same touring set up as WWE, and don’t move gear from show to show in the same way. They basically want things to sell out, which they do early.

It’s why they have more prints/designs than WWE though, which I think is a good thing.

WWE however will print a shit load of shirts up front and schlep them about, not wanting to move a wrestler onto newer designs if they’ve got a load left or if the talent isn’t a proven seller.

For this you'd think they would print a load, with 80k there you'd think they'd be able to sell a thousands and if some don't sell then they still would make a huge profit even if they chucked a couple of hundred in a clothes bin.

80,000 people all paying £30+ at a minimum. I am sure he will cope.

Also, he is a billionaire. That really helps.

yeah but the travel, the visas etc just seems like a hassle to arrange for what would be a nothing match.

anyway I imagine lots of the wrestlers not at this will be at All Out

It’s worth saying, even WWE sold out of a lot at Money In The Bank. It’s not an exact science, AEW just work with a company whose printing capacity is less and they themselves want to keep less in hand.

MITB was weird though, because crowds can sometimes freak me out (helpful having made my career in live sports), I sometimes have to go for walks as keeping moving calms me down for some reason. Anyway, on one of these walks round the O2 I realised how little stock movement happens at events; the big merch stalls were out of everything good, but - at least on level 1 - there were a couple of smaller ones who still had stock of everything.

It must be a nightmare to stock when they're touring Stateside. All the wrestlers with additional team names is a lot and then factor in having size variations. Vast majority of designs are not going to make the cut. Which will be annoying when inevitably someone asks for something and it's not stocked. Also demoralising for talent not seeing their stuff available, particularly those used to the merch table grind and extra cash that comes with it.

Then you've got designs like 'Better Than You BayBay' and 'Double Clothesline' that are barely a month old and might not see out of August. Needs Don West's brown bag skills.

No excuses for Wembley though! Months to plan it out. Singular event on the otherside of the Atlantic.
