My God what a fight! It wasn't pretty for a lot of it, and I think we all knew that, but that was pure straightener territory, and both men had to go to fighting off instinct 

I don't like Benn but fair play to him there, but I am over the moon the decision went to Jnr, it was a close fight but Jnr is the right winner, he had nothing in them last few rounds, even less than Benn and still dug deep to try and put flurries together, remarkable stuff!

Definitely surpassed my expectations that fight. It was sloppy at times, wasn’t pretty and they were both knackered but it was edge of the seat stuff right to the end. I genuinely don’t think you get a fight like that out of either of them if they were in with anyone else. I don’t think either of them would’ve dug as deep as they did here if it wasn’t a Eubank/Benn in the opposite corner. Kind of reminded me of Brook vs Khan in a way. This was better and more competitive but Brook’s performance against Khan, I don’t think he’d have fought with as much venom and motivation against any other man at that point in his career. He had to win or it’d be sleepless nights for the rest of his days. This was similar. This is gonna keep Conor awake at night knowing Eubank, and the Eubanks in general, still have the upper hand over the Benns after 35 years of rivalry.

If you’ve seen the old footage over the last few days of 13 year old Eubank Jr (with help from Lennox Lewis) convincing his old man to let him try boxing, it came from my phone ? It originally aired on the reality series ‘At Home With The Eubanks’ on Channel 5 back in 2003. I remembered the moment and was looking for the clip on YouTube but couldn’t find it anywhere online. So I dusted off the DVD I had of the show and did a shitty screen recording, edited it to fit the Twitter time constraints and hit send. It was then stolen by Lennox Lewis (an honour to be robbed by him) and it’s gone everywhere from Eubank Jr’s own page to Sky Sports to Ariel Helwani’s show yesterday.

Find it hilarious, to be honest. A crappy screen recording taken while I was sat in my boxers on Sunday morning.
