I saw something saying there was 1,000 left. Probably some kind of crafty marketing push though as they are offering discounts on tickets now. Big ol' stadium though, dunno how many they have it set out for.

I can't believe it isn't already sold out ages ago with 130,000 on the list, could sell out the stadium 10x over, biggest fight this year and so on, it seems like they may have lied to us all, I'm completely shocked lol. In all seriousness, they'll be giving tickets away and some will buy for cheap at the last minute like usually happens with these big shows that a lot of casual fans like to lap up. The fact that flyers are going through some peoples lettee boxes show how desperate they're. It be hilarious if its say half full come bell time, better begin pimping out those Chris Eubank Sr and Nigel Benn 2 fights out from over 30 years ago.

I think lots of people aren't fooled by it all, the fact it's a bit of a spectacle fight and, without their surnames they wouldn't be boxing at all.Ā

Don't get me wrong I'll be watching, but I know lots of proper boxing people are against this fight, chris Snr the most notable, also one of the trainers at a gym near me isn't gonna entertain it all, thinks it's a shambles.Ā

It's biggest reach is definitely with casuals, I just hope Jnr weighs Benn in, I can't stand him.

Saturday’s card…

I’ve paid zero attention to this the closer it’s got but of course they’ll ramp up the promotion this week so we’ll see what hilarity ensues in the next few days. Didn’t even know Yarde vs Arthur 3 was booked.Ā

Yeah, its a solid bill besides the main event. Yarde/Arthur is a trilogy fight for the sake of it really, I dont think anyone wanted a 3rd after Yarde won the rematch.

The other 3 are split close to 50/50 with the bookies, so some good matchmaking.

The build up has been worth it just for seeing Chris Eubank shut down Eddie Hearn every chance he gets, fantastic stuff.

Hearn seems to be unravelling this week, made me laugh when he got into it with Radio Raheem after the presserĀ

I didn't have Nigel Benn getting excited over a sparring session, and obviously exaggerating and talking nonsense about it on my list. A real cringey moment for me, him essentially begging it, 'trust me....' over a sparring session, ridiculous.Ā

Come on Eubank!

Eubank to keep it at range and tie Benn up, nice straight shots, upping the pressure as the fight moves into it's second half, Benn hasn't been able to crack an egg at 154, all his best wins at 140,Ā  and hasn't operated at anywhere near the level of Jnr, if Jnr has a shred of his old self left he'll take Benn to school.

George Groves uploaded some great sparring footage of him and Jnr yesterday.

Oh he has.

Actually feel really bad for Eubank. Haven’t watched much buildup stuff for this, gonna try and catch up on some of it today, but caught Eubank Sr on Talksport yesterday and the whole rift between Sr and Jr seems to be because of Sr’s ego. The way he was talking, it was all about him and him getting the hump because Jr wanted to be his own boss. Granted, I’m sure there’s truth to Jr not being easy to manage and fighters wanting to be 100% in charge of their own training camps rarely works out for the best. But let him make his own mistakes. To cut your own son off for that is too much. Maybe there’s more to it but it’s all Sr was banging on about and I’m sure if Jr had done something worse he’d have told the world by now. So the unforgivable crime he’s committed is wanting to be his own boss. Which is funny because that’s exactly what Sr was in his own career. Bit hypocritical.

Every time I see Jr talk about it he looks sad and talks about wanting to mend fences. But Sr just keeps having digs. Hopefully they can sort it out. You’d think with Sr already having lost one son, he’d wanna make the most of his time with his other kids.

Not expecting a great deal from the fight itself but it should be entertaining enough. Hope Eubank chins him.Ā

Not a massive surprise but Eubank’s missed weight. 0.5lbs over and it’s costing him 500K. More if he weighs more than 170lbs tomorrow as well. Jesus wept.Ā

I feel a bit sorry for him aswell,I think much like his own father he has some arrogant and eccentric ways butĀ  generally has got a good heart which has come through more in the past year or two than it ever has. I haven't been his biggest fan in the past and I'm still not one of them, but much prefer him to Benn.Ā

Yeah it's a really strange turnout with Sr, all I can really think of is that with losing a son his minds not right and he genuinely can't be bothered with this fight because he knows all too well the dangers boxing can bring, especially when it's fighters who, as we've seen, really aren't the same weight. But the way he's handled it publicly is poor imo, not a good look and way to conduct yourself at all.Ā

Yeah I am hoping Eubank chins Benn, I won't be able to handle the mouth out of the Benns if he doesn't, and I want Eubank to win aswell because he looks like he needs it to be honest,Ā

Cbs and Glanton will probably be fight of the night.

Judging from the news reports, it's actually 0.05, which seems insane. An AA batteries weight has cost him alot of cash
