Postman has been…

Struggling to upload photos on here but HMV have sent it in the shipping box which has ‘Stays in NJ Warehouse’ written across it which means obviously I need to keep the box it has come in (The line I shall be telling my significant other later on).

Looking forward to hearing it, I decided against streaming any of it prior to its official release

Stevie is off the tour (for now) as he was taken to hospital with appendicitis a few days ago.

Sky Documentaries at 10.50 is a 2hr 50min documentary about Stevie's life. Should be fascinating

Deliver Me From Nowhere is on Disney+ from today, as is, maybe more excitingly, the Nebraska Live concert that Bruce recorded last year. A must-watch, even if you can just use the YouTube link in the last post of this thread!

Got around to watching it this evening. Brilliant film and really delved into the darker side of Bruce's upbringing and his determination to see Nebraska in all its raw form released.

Great film, brilliant acting and definitely going to be watched again.

Beats Blinded By the Light, but 2 different types of films though so not really comparable

Since this thread has been bumped, there's rumours of a tour announcement coming at some point this week. Likely to only be US dates, but we'll see.

That’s exciting. Could even be tempted by a US show if it’s somewhere like New York. With every tour there’s a slightly larger sense of it being the last chance to see the band operating at full power.

For reasons*, I find myself in the Ticketmaster queue for Bruce’s show in Brooklyn in May.

I started at about 12,000th so it seems pretty unlikely I’ll get anywhere. But there’s always MSG on sale tomorrow …

*Mrs HG has been desperate to go back to New York, and Bruce playing there was the final excuse I needed to give in and agree

Edit: We got some! Up near the top, but still, exciting. Going to try for MSG tomorrow anyway. And book the time off work…

I should not be allowed near the World Wide Web after a beer festival when Springsteen tickets are on sale.

Fancy a pint, @HarmonicGenerator?

Well done! I tried for the Saturday MSG, got through the queue quicker than yesterday but the tickets within our price limit kept disappearing as soon as I clicked on them. Brooklyn was kind of a backup as MSG was the preferred option, but I’m happy we got those. He’d better still play New York City Serenade in Brooklyn, mind!

I can’t pretend I’m not worried about going to the USA right now, but who knows when or if we’d get another chance to see Bruce in New York.

Tom Morello has been confirmed as joining Springsteen for the tour. Holy. Bloody. God.

Getting to experience their version of The Ghost of Tom Joad live might actually send me to another planet.

I didn’t even think of that! He was there with them at Hyde Park in 2012 and I know they played it, but in between the John Fogerty and Paul McCartney cameos, I don’t think I properly took it in. I need a repeat!

he also has a new track out, as he's done a cover of Rainy Night In Soho for an upcoming Shane MacGowan tribute album. It's decent, but not spectacular - lacks some of the grit of the original, almost feels too hopeful in comparison.
