Paid Members Jazzy G Posted February 10, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 10, 2025 I guess there'd be the "Not Tonight" games as well, maybe Editor Hell. Quote

There’s a boss late on who is the hardest boss I’ve faced in any video game, ever. I couldn’t beat them and ended up watching what came next, and the eventual ending on YouTube. I’d love to know if they made that fight fairer/easier in the remake, so keep me posted on your progress! I won’t say anything more about the boss to avoid spoilers, but I will say it was not the final battle. So was it... Spoiler The Telethia/Tyrea boss battle? That absolutely kicked my arse for a few hours. Watched a YT video and went with Melia, Riki and Dunban. Was still tough but just about managed it. Quote

It’s honestly the hardest boss fight I’ve ever encountered. Quote

Gave it a go but don't have time for that shit and bumped the difficulty down to casual. There is challenging and then there is annoying. Quote

Yeah it’s the unfairness of it all that makes it so difficult. I can’t remember if there were difficulty options in the original; but if there wasn’t, I’ll maybe try the definitive edition to see if I can actually get past that boss this time around. Quote

I'm fairly certain that casual mode is a new addition to the game. I probably would have done it on normal eventually but I would have had to grind a lot and main a team I'm not particularly comfortable playing. My main goal is to just play through all 3 games and their expansions, while waiting for Xenoblade Chronicles X, to release on Switch next month. So I'm not particularly bothered about bumping the challenge down. Then I can finally retire my Wii U, lol. Shame though because a few battles in XBC Definitive Edition while challenging have actually been fun. Fucking hell though, I'd forgotten just how much Monolith love exposition dumps, lol. Quote

Funnily enough, I’ve been playing the Wii U quite a lot recently - mainly using it as a Wii, admittedly, but I’ve been enjoying my time with it. There’s an enormous software library with loads of great games between both consoles - Super Paper Mario, The Last Story, The Munchables and Kirby’s Epic Yarn have been particular favourites of games I’d not really given a chance beforehand. Pandora’s Tower remains an extremely underrated game that can be picked up at a relatively reasonable price given how good it is and that it’s only available on this console. Quote
The King Of Swing Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 Well that's Xenoblade Chronicles Definitive Edition completed. I enjoyed my time with it but not a game I'll be in a hurry to replay, not even sure if I'll bother with Future Connected. From what I've read, seems pretty easy to skip without losing anything. Think I'll just jump straight into Xenoblade 2. Quote

The King Of Swing Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 I've completed both 2 and 3 before. 2 has it's issues but I still enjoyed it, love 3 and it's probably a top ten favourite game of mine. Only reason I never played the first game for so long, was because it was so difficult/expensive to actually get hold off until more recent console gens. Never played 2's DLC but looking forward to it, since it's highly praised. Started Future Redeemed and really liked it, definitely finishing it next time. With barely any new games really interesting me, I'm using my time to go back to games in my library. Quote
Cousin Jim Bob Posted February 15, 2025 Posted February 15, 2025 I'm getting into games from my library too. First up is Hades and after playing for an hour, I'm thinking why the hell (sorry) didn't I play this years ago. At least I will be hyped for the sequel coming soon. Quote
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 15, 2025 Paid Members Posted February 15, 2025 I've finished PowerWash Simulator I'll miss Harper Shaw's messages that I never paid any attention to. Quote
Shirtie Posted February 16, 2025 Posted February 16, 2025 It's finally happened and I no longer have fun in COD games... I've been watching a few videos of Kingdom Come 2 and being a massive fan of Fallout games is this something I would enjoy ? Seems a fairly deep RPG. Quote
