Im not speaking on behalf of all Vegans. I’m addressing a program called “The Truth about Vegans” and so far, it does appear to be focusing on one aspect of it. If you could let me know how many Vegans have ever actually killed a farmer and or butcher that would be great.

If you don’t think this program looks biased then whatever. Maybe they have other programs on the same channel that aren’t. This one looks very biased though. Imagine if the BBC had some comedies that were pro-left and slated Corbyn in the news. Would be absolute madness.

A couple points of clarification as apparently you don't even listen to yourself when you speak. A surprise for someone who loves the sound of their own voice so much *

- you weren't talking about the show. You said you laugh whenever someone claims to get death threats and then said all vegans were anti death so the idea of death threats were laughable. I was specifically addressing that point.

- again, I was specifically addressing your point where you said you're like to see them show a pro vegan programme the next day.

It's kind of impossible to discuss these things constructively if you can't string together a coherent line of thought.

* see, that's an actual dig. Don't think I really made many in the previous post at all.

Ok, but what about non meat eaters who bring it up, what are they being defensive about?

I suspect you would to be honest, given the connotations of the word "Militant".  It's something from MSM, so you'll dismiss it as biased from the offset.

Vegans are welcome to bring it up because it would actually be something they care about. How many people in this country oppose Halal for animal welfar compared to those who want to have a pop at a group of people? The intentions behind it validate it.

I know there are Militant vegans, so no I wouldn’t have an issue with a program focusing on that aspect rather than grouping every Vegan together.

The thing about receiving death threats from Vegans is something I can believe, people do stupid shit because of their beliefs. Just like Pro-lifers killing people who work in abortion clinics. Which is something that is incredibly hypocritical, but does happen.

Nah that post was far less bitchy than your previous one. You are massively over analysing and trying to look for plot holes

As far as I’m aware, Butch is not a Vegan or a POC. So his reasoning for bringing it up, belief system and insights are going to be totally different from someone speaking from an informed place. For me, they have totally different value.

So, you are saying that because someone doesn’t follow an ideology that they cannot have enough information about it that they can speak “from an informed place”?

And socialists care about workers rights so they can bring it up then.

But they don’t bring it up in regards to the meat industry which I’ve explained previously is far more damaging to workers rights. It doesn’t come from a sincere place when you pick and choose

Well it isn’t a case of following the ideology, it is a case of them trying to find a problem which they don’t actually care about when it benefits them.

Of course they do.  And you think Peruvian farmers going bankrupt, homeless and starving, and slaves being killed or worked to death isn't as damaging as working in a slaughterhouse?  The only picking and choosing is coming from you, but you're getting bites so well done.

😂 that's an acceptable defense for poorly written tv shows, not your views on the subject that you are most passionate and well-read about.

Well you had a poorly written post, so does it apply to that?

That’s not what I asked.

Nice zinger!

I retract my previous statement where I said 'surely you're not that daft'. I haven't bothered trying to have a discussion with you in ages on here and I forgot that you're not that smart, and my whole approach was predicated on being able to have a sensible conversation so I'm done now thanks. You 'win'. 👍

The Peruvian farmers growing quinoa you mentioned earlier? Yeah, I don’t eat that. It is an issue, but scale wise is minute compared to the damage within the meat industry. If I start cooking with it I’ll look for fair trade/research it before I decide to use it. Honestly though, it’s like telling someone not to do a shot of whiskey while you down the rest of the bottle.

World hunger could literally be ended if people went Vegan.

Okay. They aren’t coming from a sincere place and aren’t well informed. Because if they were, they wouldn’t be eating meat.

Excuse me, don’t even try and pretend that your first first post tonight was an attempt at a sensible conversation. Me and Keith agree and disagree loads and he is capable of not throwing in petty jabs at every opportunity.

Whenever you’ve been sensible before I’ve done my best to treat you with the same respect, but tonight you came in with the full intention of being a dick and you know it.
