I remember maybe a year or so there being a lot of rumours flying around that an early draft of his autobiography had an entire chapter about losing his virginity to his own sister and it *obviously* being amended prior to release.

This is an open secret that pretty much everyone in the publishing industry has known for years. I first heard it 7 years ago. I've heard it dozens of times since from people who don't know eachother and the story is always the same. I 100% believe it.

yeah, it's been a regular fixture in Popbitch for years as well.

Similarly, I was convinced that we were due some news about James Corden a few months back when suddenly loads of celebrities were talking about him being a nightmare to work with and an utter shithouse, and the papers were running with stories of him being a dick to restaurant staff. That all smacked of a superinjunction on the real story, but everyone having their knives out regardless.

I think Corden is just a dickhead. Nothing more than that.

yeah, but he always has been. It seemed very odd, and a little coordinated, that everyone went in on him over a relatively minor misdeed.

Its like Ellen. The fact he's now leaving his show means there's gonna be more stuff around him. I've never heard anything about sexual harassment about him and there's plenty of people who hate the fella who would be leaking that if true

I didn't realise Philip Schofield had all those injunctions out. Rumours and speculation is rife following his leaving This Morning, and his brother getting sent down for being a wrong 'un.

Probably best to wait for those super injunctions to expire in a month or two. Unless you’re Gbeebies of course.

Apparently it's only Good Morning he's left, but ITV have other shows already planned for him, so I guess those injunctions may be injunctioning for a lot longer. @SuperBaconI get where you're coming from, but it's the old no smoke without fire argument. Why would he need these injunctions if he'd not done anything wrong? I'll leave it at that, though.

Nah, fuck that shit all the way out of here. Only utter pricks use that argument.

I dunno, I think that's an incredibly dangerous mindset to have to be honest. This is all just shit that's come from Twitter.

All sorts of reasons.

Again, I'm not particularly defending him, I think he's an absolute cunt, but conjecture, rumour and speculation doesn't help in this case. I think it's wrong and unfair, and actually quite nasty.

Not really. It’s one of those Savile type open secrets in Entertainment, like Walliams. And when shit does come out, there will be loads of people who knew and said fuck all. I can understand a runner or a low level producer type saying nothing in fear of being black balled from the industry due to another abuse of power, but there are people higher up the chain who brushed it under the carpet or turned a blind eye because it would affect ratings.

If a newspaper releases a story that makes Schofield look like a nonce then two weeks later Schofield proves unequivocally that he’s no nonce and the story is bollocks what are a good portion of people going to believe?
