For me the biggest part of the announcement is Smackdown going live.  Previously I assumed that if there was a brand split Smackdown would get more or less a B roster.  Although RAW will no doubt still be the flagship show, this could mean a bit more parity in terms of star power.

Sky have announced they will be hosting the Smackdown simulcast in the UK from July 19th, too.

Interestingly, presuming Sky's internal comms haven't been worked, there's a remit for Raw and Smackdown to be promoted as distinct organisations.

They may be going all in with this one.

Jesus, I'm really excited. And normally I switch off for months after WrestleMania.

Quick bit of guesswork here: The John Cena show and the Roman Reigns show?

Really looking forward to this wee shake up. We're seeing the same combination of matches on Raw then SmackDown every week. By separating some you can spread out the story slower over the month leading to the blow off at the PPV.

The biggest struggle will Raw still being 3 hours. How the hell are they meant to fill that.

To me this is great news, some say the roster is too thin but I dont agree, Cena, Reigns, Rollins, Orton, AJ, Ambrose, Owens, Y2J, Wyatt etc is more than enough to split and thats before you mention other popular upper and mid card guys like Cesaro, Miz, Zayn, Rusev etc

Vince mention earlier this month that around 13 new guys are gonna get called up soon too.

Cena should be on Smackdown (I know a ton of reasons why he shouldnt that dont need listed) but if they really want Reigns or anyone to be the focus and 'the guy' then they cant be overshadowed by him, Reigns running Raw Cena Smackdown sounds great and keep them apart til next Mania

Exciting times

It's wishful thinking because they'll probably do a versus show at one of the fall In Your Houses but hopefully the brands are kept apart as much as posisble for as long as possible until big, big interpromotional matches. EXCEPT of course for "I'm buying you a ticket to the rivals show" whackarsery and sneaky closing segment ~limo snatches!

The video games might even get good again! Somehow!

I'm interested how the tag division is gonna work with this one. Its one of the strongest its been in years (possibly since the last draft) but I'd hate to see it diminished into two sets of teams facing each other again and again.

Can anyone see Raw under Steph getting the Divas revolution while Shane takes all the Tag Teams (worth more together than separately) to SD, with one getting Superstars and one getting Main Event?
