Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 28, 2016 Moderators Posted April 28, 2016 Following discussion with board members we've decided that from hereon in we'd like the Football predictions to be one thread rather than a new thread every week in order to stop cluttering up the forum. Ta.
Zebra Kid Mark Posted April 28, 2016 Posted April 28, 2016 Damn, that's a shame. Premier League Chelsea 1 v 0 Tottenham Hotspur (Monday 8pm) Everton 2 v 1 Bournemouth Manchester United 0 v 1 Leicester City (Sunday 2:05pm)Newcastle United 2 v 0 Crystal PalaceStoke City 1 v 0 SunderlandWest Bromwich Albion 1 v 1 West Ham United Scottish Premiership Aberdeen 2 v 0 MotherwellHamilton Academica 0l v 2 Kilmarnock Serie AGenoa 0 v 2 Roma (Monday 6pm)Lazio 1 v 1 Inter (Sunday 7:45pm) All games kick off on Saturday and at 3pm unless stated.
Fog Dude Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Damn, that's a shame. Indeed. If it's just become "clutter" that only a minority of football followers on the forum actually want to play, then it might as well have zero threads next season, rather than wasting space with one. EDIT: All right, that was a bit of a strong initial reaction. Obviously the FPL doesn't belong to me, but this feels like my cue to stop running it after (I think) 8 years. If Harvey Dent or someone else wants to take it on under this new restriction totally sensible rule, they're welcome to and I'll probably still play.
Moderators PowerButchi Posted April 28, 2016 Moderators Posted April 28, 2016 It's due to complaints about the amount of Football threads on the forum. They'll be getting streamlined in the new season too. Calm down, it's really not that big a deal to do it in one thread.
Fog Dude Posted April 28, 2016 Author Posted April 28, 2016 Well, I agree with that for football discussion threads. I already said the other day that the Prem thread should be renamed 'General Football Chat' (or something like that), and almost did so again today after all the recent posts in it were about a manager leaving Championship club and being linked with a vacancy in Scotland. Will the thread at least be pinned? I first called for Predictions League threads more than a decade ago. On reflection, that would've been stupid for the weekly threads but will make sense if there's only going to be one for 9 months. Come to think of it... is it still fine to have a separate thread for sign-ups in pre-season??
