Paid Members Supremo Posted February 23, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2016 Of the guys on the shortlist I say give it to Diaz. He can build it up, he's probably the easiest opponent for Conor to beat in order to keep the hype train running, and then you can do the RDA fight at UFC 200, now with the added drama of Dos Anjos dropping out. seanz25
Cerrone has no medical suspensions from the other night does he? Yet to watch is fight, but sounds like he battered the fucker about for a few mins so probably nothing ruling him out.
Guy Bifkin
I thought this one was too good to be true. Question now is can Nate Diaz pass a drugs test at this notice? Â What are the alternatives? Cerrone at catchweight? Eddie Alvarez?

David
I'd laugh hard if Diaz came in at short notice and stopped McGregor.
seanz25
Going of his last fight, I wouldn't put it past him. Diaz vs McGregor is an absolute war of a fight, the striking both those guys carry is ridiculous.
Paid Members lambyUK Posted February 23, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2016 I'm just gutted for Mcgregor as this fight was his attempt at making UFC history. He now goes from that to a fight that achieves nothing. That said, I'm sure he will fight but it's just a big fucking anti climax. This was feels a lot worse than Aldo pulling out of 189 for me due to the circumstances.
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 23, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2016 Conor should demand an Interim Title. It's the least he deserves for spectacularly building all these fights up, only for his opponents to drop out.
seanz25
Interim title fight? Kinda keeps the dream partially alive right?
David
An interim title!
Paid Members Supremo Posted February 23, 2016 Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2016 I wonder if Aldo is in shape and could make 155?
METAL ON METAL
Gotta imagine (all being well), UFC 200 will have McGregor/RdA now. Â Edgar's never getting that fight now, the poor fucker. And he can't even blame McGregor.
seanz25
Can DaDa 5000 get down to 155?
David
Gotta imagine (all being well), UFC 200 will have McGregor/RdA now. Â You'd think Dos Anjos will be all healed up and good to go by then. Not a bad main event for the big one.
METAL ON METAL
Ariel said Cerrone has put his name forward and that Nate Diaz is another option UFC have also discussed. Â Weird situation for a PPV but surely McGregor's non-title fight still has to be the main event, even though the women's title fight is on the card.
