jimufctna24
However you have to remember for the Tate fight that was her Octagon debut and it had an awful lot riding on the fight with a number 1 contender slot and a TUF season. Zingano later admitted she was absolutely terrified and a bag of nerves as she had never been involved in a fight with so much on the line.  Then Nunes fight she was returning from a huge serious injury lay off so again the nerves and tension would have been high. I see where you are coming from.  We shall see on the night.
Ghostface1982
I haven't seen anything from Zingano that makes me think this will be anything other than Rousey mauling another contender fairly sharpish. Looking forward to it.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted February 23, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 23, 2015 Yeah I think I mentioned that at the time. The cool thing about that was it was during the Fan Expo during the weekend of UFC 175. So Cat pulled off a 14 second flying armbar at that grappling exhibition. The very same weekend that Ronda wrecked Alexis Davis with a 16 second KO via Performance Enhancing Jugs. Â Rousey and Zingano caused all that mayhem in a combined 30 seconds! Hadn't saw that clip.  I still reckon she'd get dropped on her head if she grabbed Rousey like that though.  Edit- The initial clinch that is, slamming your way out of armbars or triangles isn't the best strategy. Ghostface1982
Haha, I knew that was coming from someone Never understood why Arona held that and never just released his legs. Not like he had it locked up.

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2015 Come on man, what the fuck? This is tonight! There's usually some discussion after the weigh ins, media stuff, Embedded episodes etc.  Imagine if this card had stayed intact with;  Weidman vs Belfort Rousey vs Zingano Jacare vs Romero Mir vs Bigfoot Holm vs Pennington  We'd probably be on 15 pages by now. This card has really taken a battering. But it's here now and there's still some good stuff on there.   Everyone made weight except for Mark Munoz.  Embedded #1;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&persist_app=1&v=mpJYRGrQBok  Embedded #2;  https://www.youtube.com/watch?app=desktop&persist_app=1&v=1bHQhBZ2FYM

I'm going with...  Rousey by submission Holm by KO/TKO Got a feeling Koscheck might squeak out a decision Ferguson on points but in a close one Carneiro by submission And KID losing again and finally getting cut

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted February 28, 2015 Author Paid Members Share Posted February 28, 2015 Yeah I'm not going to lie and say I'm mega pumped for this. It's a shame though. If the original card had stayed how it was I honestly think it'd have been better than 182 or 183. It wouldn't have had that one monster fight but a double main event of Weidman-Belfort and Rousey-Zingano, with that strong support from Jacare, Romero, Bigfoot, Mir, Holm's debut...it would've been a crazily stacked card. The best since 178 for me, better probably because Weidman vs Belfort would've pissed all over Johnson vs Cariaso. Â I'm big into the main event though. Although I see Ronda winning, it's still a fight I can't wait to see. And when you've got two unbeaten fighters, who really knows how it'll play out? Zingano might be better than we think. I see this being something like the Rousey vs Tate fights, which IMO were Ronda's most exciting fights yet. It could be another blowout but I've got a feeling it'll actually go past a round. I think Cat's toughness will see her survive longer than most of Ronda's previous victims, but the key word there is 'survive'. I think Ronda takes her out eventually but it'll be fun while it lasts. Â I'm actually really interested to see how Munoz and KID look after long layoffs. I'm not expecting much from either, especially KID, but I'm still kind of looking forward to seeing them back in there. Â Koscheck vs Ellenberger is a bit of a tossup to me. On paper you'd think Ellenberger is a younger version of Koscheck and should win but for all his skills he's been so unreliable. I could actually see Koscheck winning in a grinding battle, similar to his fight with Hendricks (which I had Kos winning). Always a chance Ellenberger knocks his head off early though, that's a very likely outcome as well. I'm 50/50 but I've got a feeling Koscheck, even pushing 40 and on his last legs, pulls it out. Which tells you how shot my confidence is in Ellenberger. Â Edit...
