Paid Members air_raid Posted December 29, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 29, 2014 Surely him and Goto are taking the tag titles at WrestleKingdom  100% they are. The World Tag League basically existed to make them look awesome as challengers for Bullet Club, and it would be waste of a year building them if they aren't winning.  I legitimately thought at the time that Shibata was winning the 2013 G1 as he would be a fresh face in the main event scene (and I thought they'd missed the boat on Naito) instead of running the risk of running Tana VS Okada into the ground. Shows what I know.
Whiskey1
What's the best way to stream this to a TV (not a smart TV)?
WyattSheepMask
Unless you have a chrome cast, I'd assume it would be doing it through an RGB cable from a laptop. I've yet to try this method since signing up but I don't see why it wouldn't work
Whiskey1
Yeh. My TV has an HDMI port but I was looking to do it wirelessly and perhaps through my phone/tablet. I've seen some alternatives to chrome cast which are a but cheaper but don't know if they're any good. Shame they don't have a ps3 app yet. WyattSheepMask
I'd love them to have a PS3 app. Hate watching things on my laptop
Whiskey1
So for anyone who does have google chrome, does this give you HD video and sound on your tv?
TheDFA
Has anyone used the app Flipps that Jeff Jarrett was talking about? If so is it easy to use / do you order through that app? Cheers

Paid Members bAzTNM#1 Posted December 30, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted December 30, 2014 Did anybody else get hit with a charge of changing yen to pounds on their bank account? Royal Bank of Scotland charged me three pound to change the currencies (for some bizarre reason no doubt) on top of the NJPW World charge. Most (if not all) providers charge a Foreign Transaction Fee if you use their card to make an international payment, unless you have an account bundle with benefits. Mine is an extra 11p a month on top of the actual charge from New Japan World. I don't give a flying fuck about 11p, to be honest.
WyattSheepMask
Yeah, mine was about £1 which I'd just waste on something anyway so not worth being bothered about
Colin Culk
As part of the build up to WK9 I've been poking around the New Japan World website. I notice that they have 26 shows in the archive for last year and that these are irregularly timed throughout the year. As someone who knows very little about Japanese wrestling, can someone please tell me are these all the shows that NJPW put on last year? Are these PPVs, tv shows, a mix etc.? Is there no standard episodic weekly tv show? Don't get me wrong, I've no issue with this approach. Just curious whether this is a cultural difference. Perhaps Japanese viewers aren't so fussed about having to chase shows around the schedules??
Paid Members JNLister Posted January 3, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 3, 2015 Full shows were previously only broadcast either as internet PPV or on a specialist subscription wrestling satellite channel. From now on, full shows will be NJPW World only. For the most part it will be one to two big shows a month and then a few smaller shows. August is slightly different as they have about a dozen shows for the G-1 Climax tournament. Â They are on regular TV, but only in a short slot (either 30 or 60 minutes a week), which just shows the main events from recent shows on a bit of a delay. It's on in a horrible timeslot too. The shown on there for 2013 is everything televised minus a few of the G-1 Climax shows which were shown on a TV channel that kept the rights. Â From now on, full shows will be NJPW World only.
