AshC
Well deserved. A phenomenal talent, even a decade ago. Â http://www.wwe.com/inside/wwe-signs-fergal-devitt-26515616
Paid Members Shy Dad Posted July 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted July 28, 2014 Was just in the process of posting this, appear to have been beaten to it. Â Do we believe he'll ever make the Raw/SmackDown roster or is this another signing for NXT as it seems to be going? Â Like between him, Zayn, Kallisto, Neville and KENTA now, that's 5 of the top guys in the world of wrestling that wouldn't have stood a chance in early 2000's WWE yet now thrive on their own show. Could NXT be used as an alternative option within the network for fans looking for the best technical talent in the world that may not be as in to WWE's entertainment aspect? With the likes of Gabriel, Kidd, Regal and such down there its giving the more talented but less entertaining guys a chance at being somebody. Â They don't even seem to be using NXT as their farm system now, as the only guys that get onto TV there are the one's who they deem have gone through the Performance Centre well enough. Paid Members tiger_rick Posted July 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted July 28, 2014 NXT is still clearly a path to getting guys onto the main roster. I think they're playing it right with guys like Devitt and KENTA. They clearly want them to work to their style but they also know both guys are more than ready to be working in NXT so they announce it as a signing for NXT which doesn't have the stigma these days that OVW and FCW and such have had in the past. Â Not a chance these two won't make it to the main roster given their talent.

Paid Members Shy Dad Posted July 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted July 28, 2014 Admittedly worded wrongly yes, but I couldn't think of a way to explain technically able wrestlers over sports entertainers at the time. Work rate over promo.
TheShowOff
Seen him live a few times, he is brilliant. Wish I had a chance to see some of his entrances live since his been adopting film star characters, etc. Saw his Hannibal one on YouTube, it looked fucking brilliant. Paid Members Sergio Mendacious Posted July 28, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted July 28, 2014 He'll be coming in as Fergal De Vit, Tony's adopted son, and a fierce DJ in his own right. That'll give him the chance to have the obligatory NXT dancing gimmick.
King Pitcos
NXT's transitioning away from that now to singing gimmicks. There was someone on their live events this week doing a singer-songwriter character.

Sexy Dad
Pleased that I had the chance to see him at a smaller show this year before getting signed. Can't wait to see him show up on NXT, fantastic buzz about the place at the mo.
