Syl
Before I watched the trailer, I thought 'not another British wrestling documentary!?'. Having now watched this, I must say I am looking forward to
KingOfMetal
Glad to see it covers right to the modern era rather than just the World Of Sport days ending with Greg Dyke hate. Will defo keep an eye out for it, release due for June apparently
Paid Members Rob Lowe Posted March 1, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 1, 2014 It wouldnt be British Wrestling without a dubious claim about beating the cup final viewing figures. Â As said above, its great that its including the FWA glory era too. I enjoyed Greg Lamberts book so it'll be great to hear more sides of the story. I'll definitely be looking forward to this. Â It was Slamthology that mentioned neither broadcast figures being recorded, right? Unless someone found an old file, I guess thats still the case. Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted March 1, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 1, 2014 British wrestling is built on an intricate foundation of truth and lies. As long as Alex Shane doesn't mention WWE stealing his armband idea it should be a really interesting watch.

Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted March 2, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted March 2, 2014 Not entirely serious no. I don't want to get into a massive Alex Shane debate to be honest for 2 reasons.  1. This thread is about the film which looks like it will be really good  2. Alex reads everything written about him on here because he can't help himself. I am already expecting a stern Facebook message and I can't be arsed with the hassle. KingofSports
One year on and this has just been promoted on Wrestletalk T.V. If it was available on DVD, I'd happily buy it now. Disappointingly, it seems to be vod only and frankly that being the case, I won't be bothering. A real shame & should anyone know differently, please let me know. There was a brilliant documentary made about a decade ago "Catch The Hold Not Taken", released in a similar format & seemingly no longer available in this country. To some degree, good work going to waste.

Members SuperBacon
This has just been added to Amazon Prime. Its a decent easy watch to be fair. Also, I’d like to let anyone associated with it that resents Greg Dyke know, that he once caught me pissing in his koi carp pond Edited January 7, 2020 by SuperBacon
SuperstarNeilC
Her Majesty The Queen was a fan of Big Daddy, don’t you know? After main eventing at the Royal Albert Hall he’d nip around to her pad for a fish n chip supper. She would pick him up in her golden carriage.
