So TNA published then removed this:

"Today, Josh Mathews was spotted outside of TNA Wrestling Headquarters in Nashville, TN. Matthews would later enter a closed door meeting with TNA executives. No details on what was said, however IMPACTWrestling.com will keep you current when additional details are available."

Closed door meetings!? It's Josh Matthews for fucks sake

He could be debuting next week. Tenay and Tazz dont leave the studio these days. All commentary is recorded after the tapings are filmed, due to a cost cutting measure.

God knows where he fits in. Its not like they've hired a reanimated Gordon Solie. Josh Matthews is worse than Tenay. Gormless as fuck. I'd assume Tenay isn't getting sacked, but who knows with the outgoings in 2014.

Update from the Observer this week:

* They genuinely believe they'll have a new TV deal starting in January, but it probably won't be a good one. The four options appear to be Velocity, WGN America, CMT and an unnamed channel that isn't on cable. (Velocity is in 45% of homes, WGN in 65% and CMT in 80%, so there's a good chance they'll be losing a fair chunk of their potential audience, and possibly even getting nearer to ROH levels.)

* There are no shows booked other than Bound for Glory and the UK tour. So literally nothing booked in North America.

* The plan seems to be that the already taped shows will air till November 19, then they'll do best of shows for the rest of the year, do a taping in early January for the first few weeks on the new station, then tape in the UK.

* Nobody's getting a new deal or a renewal until they know for sure what's happening.

Why does Dixie Carter keep going with it? Is being a TV character really that important that she will lose all this money? I really dont understand. It bleeds money and they seem to get sued every other month. There have been people in wrestling who have dedicated their lives to the business that haven't went through all of this shit and ended up pulling the plug. What a headache. They are basically in a position where they are trying to stay alive by finding a TV deal which would turn them into a glorified indy and lose them millions a year. TNA is like Del Boy's garage at this point. Only without the £6 million antique watch lying about.

The thing is, if they'd have sold it to Toby Keith, Spike would have given that regime at least another year on the network to see how it would do. They had the chance to save the promotion last January. Its baffling why they didn't sell it. All because Dixie Carter wants to be on TV.

What an absolute load of rubbish TNA put out this week. The last of the New York tapings and it's a 10 man tournament for a future title shot. Featuring MVP, Aries and 8 midcarders who you knew weren't going to win from the start. The whole idea lacked any ambition and was lazily put together. The opening match, Low Ki vs MVP was decent enough. But then you had Robbie E vs Tajiri & Austin Aries vs. Knux. There you could have put Robbie E with Knux to play up on his fear of clowns because he had his circus troupe with him. Then you would have Aries vs Tajiri in a potentially good x division type match. There wasn't any reason why this 10 had been picked or placed in that order. There was no Storm, Hardy, Gunner, Bram, Young or Bully Ray. Basically noone who is being used at the moment. Instead they put on Anderson vs Magnus, 2 floundering midcarders who have done nothing for months and then finishing it off with Sam Shaw vs Abyss. Both matches were as uninspiring as they sounded. You could have switched Sam Shaw with Magnus so the match-ups had more relevance. The 5 who won their matches would go on to a 5 way final, first to get a pin wins. That wasn't up to much either.
