dangerously420
I had this served well done  You don't deserve to be let near a decent cut of meat. If you take a nice piece of steak and cook it till it's well done, you'll be left with something that tastes no better than the cheapest cut of beef cooked for a few hours.  Just stop posting about things you clearly know nothing about.  It is just a personal preference of mine. I like all my meat cooked well done as i don't like to see redness in my red meat as to me that looks like it is still raw so i won't eat it. Moderators Astro Hollywood Posted February 4, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2014 So that's beer, tea and burgers you've ruined. Just stay away from jaffa cakes, you idiot. Â Genuine tip. The lidl own make Jaffa cakes are amazing and better than the big brand and cheaper. Â We need a definitive list of own brand/value brand that is better than the full-price stuff. To start: Â * Sainsbury's value chocolate digestives are better than McVities (but co-op ones aren't) Â * Value tortilla chips are always better, though admittedly that's solely down to evil levels of salt. Â Tesco Pringles.

I find them too salty, apart from the Tesco Value ones. Had some for lunch today!
Paid Members SiMania Posted February 4, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2014 Wipe the cow's arse, show it the fire and put it on my plate. Red meat should be red, not brown.

I like all my beef to be brown not red as to me seeing redness in the beef just makes it look not cooked to me. Â I like my bacon to be done that is practically burnt to a cinder as i want to make sure all the fat has been burned off and looks similar to the bacon you would get on a burger out of Burger King. NorthSeaTiger
As a chef I cook steak to all kinds of degrees. My personal preference is rare-med. bit of red, bit of blood. But each to their own. It's their money spent after all. Â Do Tesco still do their own brand Pringles? Chipz, I think they were called. They were just as good as the big brand but less than half the price!! Our local store ain't hand them for months.
Moderators neil Posted February 4, 2014 Moderators Share Posted February 4, 2014 This just proves that you have an unrefined palate. Those restaurant cooks must've been laughing their heads off at you.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 4, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2014 Steak and things of that nature I like rare but I do love a bit of bacon really crispy, like this: Â Â That being said, I enjoy bacon at all times so... If you see red in chicken or Pork then you have a good reason to be pissed off. Having what looks like a very nice steak well done is a fucking atrocity. Paid Members Dead Mike Posted February 4, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2014 I'm sure I've heard/read that it's common for restaurants to keep aside cuts of steak solely for 'well done' orders. Essentially keeping the shitarse cuts aside for people who wont know the difference anyway as it's been cooked to within an inch of it's life. Rey_Piste
Bit of pink in pork is fine. Pork is very risky to not cook properly.
Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted February 4, 2014 Paid Members Share Posted February 4, 2014 I've always heard that. But, when I was a younger, more drunk guy I used to always end up frying some chops of something when I was pissed and according to witness statements would fry the thing for like a minute before eating it with my bare hands. And I never seemed to have any ill effects. Â Don't try this at home etc.
