Paid Members Jaffa Posted January 7, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 7, 2012 I'll kick off by nominating Mike Castle saving a damsel in distress with his WARHAMMER! Been in my current place 2 months now (hence why you lot haven't suffered me), and it's a new build so everyone is just settling in and getting to know each other, but within the first two weeks the couple across the hall had had the guy dragging his girlfriend into the flat by her hair, and I clearly heard him threatening to throw a TV down the stairs at her. Then clear arguments from their flat almost nightly.Things came to a head when I heard commotion in the hallway and checked through the spy hole to see her cowering against my door as he's seemingly going to lamp her. Leading to me nabbing a makeshift Warhammer I've got (anyone who remembers FJW... yes, that Warhammer) and opening the door to tell him to back off her.Long story short she left, and a few hours later the cops were round to take a statement and ask if I could keep an eye out for him coming back and call them if he did. She dropped the charges, but after another commotion (and further talks with the police and housing association) I've seen nothing of him for over a month, and it looks like she's getting the place done up by family. Definite result.
King Pitcos
TripleA's response to it made me laugh more than any post in recent memory.
Paid Members martyngnr Posted January 7, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 7, 2012 Fantastic stuff from Gladesone...http://ukff.com/index.php?showtopic=105848&st=765 What's so bad about the PDC audience? Are they like the equivalent to ROH type crowds? Sitting there applauding the dartsmanship level? James Wade defeated Raymond van Barneveld after 34:45 following a Double 16.Fantastic match, surely a MOTY contender. Crowd were really into this one from the outset. Wade drummed up some great heel heat in the second set with a 'Hogan Ear'. It's the Bristow - Dellar of our generation.

Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 10, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 10, 2012 My favourite so far, Harmonic Generator from the 'Worst Pop Songs' Thread. So much passionate hatred, you can't help but admire. I could name at least two woeful cover versions of songs I love, but that's a whole other thing, so...Here Come The Girls.Okay, it's not so much the song itself as the life it seems to have taken on. Wherever screeching harpies shudder their way insensibly through a city centre, you're seeing Here Come The Girls. Wherever a faceless, mindless marketing company needs to target the modern independent woman, dammit, you know you'll be hearing Here Come The Girls. Wherever that appalling 'if you can't handle me at my worst' recurring Facebook status is posted by some girl you went to school with but haven't seen since she had all those kids, you can bet she's been listening to Here Come The Girls.FUCK OFF, The Girls, and the abominable, soul-destroying Boots adverts you rode in on. cobra_gordo
I'm nominating this from Chilli in the Noisy Neighbours thread (context here) Â Now I live in a flat and my neighbour is a naturist. It's a fair compromise for me to see an arse everyday than a cunt.
