Sphinx
Source  WWE announced late Thursday that it was removing "dated and edgier" footage from its official website and media platforms, a day after co-founder Linda McMahon's political opponent used clips in an attack ad. "To better reflect our current family-friendly brand of entertainment, WWE is removing some dated and edgier footage from digital platforms," said Brian Flinn, WWE's Senior Vice President, Marketing and Communications, in a statement. "Some of this footage has been misused in political environments without any context or explanation as to when it was produced. This damages the corporate reputation of our company. WWE is well within its rights to protect its intellectual property for fair use."  Flinn said the footage removal is not related to an ad released Wednesday by Rep. Chris Murphy, a Connecticut Democrat running for Senate against McMahon, which featured WWE footage while slamming her for allegedly off-shoring profits to avoid taxes and failing to provide health coverage for their performers. Rather, it is part of a re-branding effort.  While WWE held a PG-14 rating for much of the late 1990s and early 2000s when she was running the organization with her husband, Vince McMahon, its current content is rated PG or G.  It's not minor news I suppose actually. Paid Members JNLister Posted September 15, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted September 15, 2012 That report is slightly missing the point. WWE isn't just taking stuff off its own site, it's getting its team who search YouTube for copyright infringing clips to concentrate specifically on getting takedown orders on the "racier" stuff. Sphinx
By media platforms, does that mean DVD as well? If I was a political opponent wanting to show edgy stuff, I'd just grab a DVD and use that.
King Pitcos
If only it meant they were going to take the old Austin and DX clips that always get played on Raw out of rotation. I wish Chyna had her tits out during their WCW invasion.
iamtheman
According to PWInsider.com's Elite section, SpikeTV and TNA have come to a mutual agreement to keep Impact Wrestling live through 2012. The report notes that there may be a few exceptions made for holidays. An official announcement is expected to be issued soon. Â I really hope they do stay live. Its helped the show immensely

Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted September 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted September 16, 2012 I bet Damien Darling's pride has went up several notches being compared to Shawn Michaels. Or maybe she's left him with boss-eyes after the kicking she gave him and the Mail just thought "must be him".
pgi86
Matt Morgan returned to TNA at last night's TNA house show. He appeared in street clothes, layed out Robbie E and was then escorted out by security. Â He then posted the following on Twitter: Â All tonight really meant was I'm tired of "just be patient Matt", being patronized & most of all being SOLD DREAMS! The real question is... Who am I with? Time will tell. 'Til then, Tick-Tock....
Smegma Cake
FFS, I thought TNA had finally wised up to how much of a shitarse he was. Hopefully the fact he only laid out Robbie E, means he won't be instantly thrust into any massive angle anytime soon. Unless he's eventually going to be one of the Aces & 8s, which to be fair would be logical. Â Apart from the tag team champion stint with himself, I can't remember enjoying anything Morgan did while with TNA.
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 16, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted September 16, 2012 TNA is pretty good currently and has a somewhat stacked roster. The worst thing they could do would be bringing Matt Morgan back. Has he ever had a good singles match in his entire career?
Sexy Dad
Sigh. I've never particularly hated Morgan being around but the fact that he's been been away for six months and not once have I thought "this could be a lot better if Morgan was here"...so that says it all really. Blandness personified. Edited September 16, 2012 by thesimonbegz
Loki
Where's Bobby Roode? Is his just having a well-earned break? Can't believe he'll genuinely miss Bound For Glory after the year he's had. Â EDIT: I haven't watched the PPV yet, so to be fair he might have come back and I wouldnt know.. Why didn't they just unmask him as one of the Aces and Eights? As shit as Matt Morgan is, that would have made all the sense in the world if he turned up after months out and would have been a decent surprise.
