neil is brill
Just out of interest, what's the fascination with races online? Any time I want to do a survival or team deathmatch, nobody joins up but if I host a race, I can get a full lobby in seconds. Â I wanna play GTA to blow motherfuckers up, not play bumper cars like most races inevitably end up. I play Gran Turismo if I want to race people. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 23, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 23, 2015 The satisfaction of sticky bombing the race leader a checkpoint away from the finish is pretty good.
Paid Members JNLister Posted January 24, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 24, 2015 Replaying GTA IV at the moment and the speech radio station has a spoof on Judge Judy and the like. Turns out Lamar Davis is one of the defendants!
Merzbow
Good find, it's on youtube too. 1m15s Edited January 24, 2015 by Merzbow
Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted January 24, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 24, 2015 Switched to Plusnet from BT, and now I have the most horrific lag when playing GTA Online. Something to do with shitty "traffic prioritising".
neil is brill
The satisfaction of sticky bombing the race leader a checkpoint away from the finish is pretty good. Â Fair enough, I'm so spectacularly shit at races so I avoid them like the plague. The same thing happens every time, cars bump into me from all sides at the starting grid and spin me out, and I'm then at the back of the pack for the entire race, occasionally ending up with a DNF. I know you aren't meant to play fair, so being shit is my fault, I just get no enjoyment out of following a pack of cars for less money and RP than if I was doing the race all by myself. Paid Members SpursRiot2012 Posted January 24, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 24, 2015 Hold back a little and let them bump each other. Are you getting the boost at the start?
neil is brill
Yeah, I've got the boost at the start down every time. I'm not gonna bother going back on to try again, I gave up on racing a long time ago. I'm happy just shooting people down in free roam. The constant race invites just do my nut in, and when I do get a deathmatch, once it's over, everyone picks a fucking race on the vote screen, at which point I just duck back out into free mode. You can’t play a race on GTA without them wanting to shunt you. I’ve found the best tactic to be if you know a car’s getting close, just gently tap the brake so they end up in front and then give them a taste of their own medicine. It’s even more satisfying if they have a headset. Edited January 24, 2015 by Your Fight Site
neil is brill
I've noticed an increase in people quitting after job 1 of a playlist if they don't win the first round. It's a pain in the arse when you're stuck with 4 people waiting for someone to join the next round which needs a minimum of 6 players. So many rage quitters it's unreal. Paid Members Your Fight Site Posted January 31, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted January 31, 2015 I don't bother with playlists. Just too much waiting around and as you say, people dropping out round after round as they're not winning.
neil is brill
It's a shame because playlists are probably the best way of earning money outside of whatever glitches are left. I don't understand why these people even start a playlist if they aren't sticking it out until the end, it'd be nice to finish one some time. Paid Members Teedy Kay Posted February 1, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 1, 2015 Aren't races seemingly more popular in part because of the Sidemen? My nephew watches them race on his phone every time he visits my house.

Paid Members Bettencourt Posted February 1, 2015 Paid Members Share Posted February 1, 2015 Who/what are the Sidemen? Â KSI Oladijebt and some other folk I believe. Don't know which account they do these GTA things on though. I only follow KSI.
