I think TNA really needs to find road agents who arent relics from the Attitude era. Al Snow, Tommy Dreamer and (as much as I love him) D'Lo seem to only know one type of finish to a match and thats a bullshit ending. People have a go at Russo, but he writes the television and scripts the outcome of the match. So you can have a go at the interviews, angles and pace of the show, but the finishes to the matches are what really gets on my nerves. Its these idiots telling them how they want the matches to end. For all its faults, even under Russo TNA never used to have this many fuck-finishers on a show. TNA need someone like Finlay or Arn Anderson to show you how a match should end and how to keep your heat. Fucking double countouts after a DDT and double pins and referees getting kicked in the head from kickouts it just shit.

I don't see why anyone would care about the "network".

Who cares ? I doubt anybody watches wrestling for that, that includes smarks nevermind your avergae joe

It's not meant to be something to care about in itself, it's meant to move storylines along. In the case of ECW, the "Network" was a credible heel entity, because it was positioned as something threatening the independence and "free spirit" of ECW - anybody representing the Network, like Cyrus, was seen as a corporate cunt.

I did watch it and just couldn't remember what the reason was. I guess that's because there wasn't really one.

The WWE Magazine published an article at the time saying Dvon came from a religious background I think his parents are preachers or something then again could have been a work to explain the gimmick.

more detailed april 7th spoilers

Dark Match

1. Amazing Red beat Slick Brown. I missed Brown's middle name. He came out looking a little like a cross between the The Rock and D-Lo Brown. He looked good with his offense (to which I credit Red) but a little sloppy in his bumps. Fun, fast paced match. Brown got a good near fall with a version of the Low-Down (I guess the look was not enough, he had to take D-Lo's finisher too!) but Red eventually won with his finisher.

TNA Impact

Impact started with Fortune coming out with Daniels, who cut a promo on how his past with TNA has always been rocky, but he and his best friend A.J. Styles have always had each other's back. He then asked Fortune to be their fourth man in their match with Team Flair at Lockdown.

Team Flair came down to the ring and Ric Flair cut a promo He said that no one, even himself, God, knew who the hell Daniels was. He suggested he take himself back to California and stay there. At one point, Flair called himself "your God-King." Funny. Daniels said The Network knew who he was. This brought out Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff. Hogan said if "The Superhero" Daniels wanted a contract and The Network wanted him at Lockdown, then so be it.

Hogan also said he was in negotiations to buy The Network so he didn't have to put up with this crap. Bischoff then made a match between Bully Ray and Daniels as a warm up for Lockdown. Ray made fun of Daniels for wearing eyeliner and painting his nails black and said Daniels should just put on lipstick and be done with it. Daniels told Ray to remember that the guy with eyeliner and painted nails kicked his ass. A brawl ensued with Fortune and Daniels got the better of Team Flair.

2. Hernandez and Anarchia defeaterd Tommy Dreamer and Devon. The new LAX (with Sarita and Rosita) got their butts kicked the whole match until Hernandez interfered and the new guy covered Devon for the win. After the match, they beat on Devon and Dreamer until Morgan made the save. Hernandez fed his partner to Morgan for a choke slam and escaped up the ramp, so I guess they continue this awful feud. Side note, they hung the giant Mexican flag behind the ring the whole match and it blocked everyone sitting in the stands. Looks like it may be a cool visual on TV though.

3. Samoa Joe beat Murphy. Murphy came out looking like a madman pulling his hair out and making pained expressions to absolute silence. Not one person cared. Joe came out to a nice pop, and Pope sat in on cometary. Murphy got in a move or two before Joe decided he had enough and locked on the RNC. Wow....that was quick. Joe then chased Pope out of commentary and to the back.

4. Sarita and Rosita defeated The Beautiful People for the TNA Knockouts Tag Titles. When TBP came out, Velvet had to drag Angelina to the ring, and she was overselling the trance thing. Velvet started and wrestled for a few minutes but when she went to tag in Love, Angelina didn't move. Winter came out to the stage and called Angelina's name. She made a snapping a twig motion and Love snapped Velvet's neck on the top rope, then got on top of her and dropped punches for a bit. Love then left the ring and the champs retained. Winter and Love walked to the back together as Velvet looked stunned and confused it the ring.

Sting came out and asked Rob Van Dam to join him. RVD came out and Sting said he wanted to apologize to RVD for the way he treated him when he debuted for the company (anyone remember the baseball bat beat down?). Sting then said Rob should apologize to him for the distraction of him and Anderson while he is trying to deal with Immortal. Rob said something about becoming champion. Hogan and Bischoff came out and quickly made a match between the two for tonight.

5. Bully Ray defeated Christopher Daniels in a lumberjack match. They announced it would be a lumberjack match with Team Flair and Fortune as lumberjacks. Nothing too fancy until Daniels hit the BME, and Flair pulled the ref out before three. While the brawl at ringside distracted the ref, Hogan came down and used Ray's chain to clock Daniels in the head, giving Ray the win.

They started setting up a cage, but did not announce a match. Jeff Jarrett came out while there was only three sides up and cut a promo on Kurt being arrested last week.(He was talking about Impact, though bad timing for Angle's real arrest). Jeff then said that Angle would probably not be at Lockdown because of it and asked if that was Kurt's plan because Kurt was afraid he would be beaten within an inch of his life by Jarrett. Jeff then asked them to play Karens music so she could say a few words.

Instead, Angle's music hit and he used Suicide's rope entrance into the side of the cage that was not up yet. He then motioned for the ring guys to finish the fourth side and Kurt had Jeff trapped. Jarrett pushed the camera guy into Kurt and climbed out. Angle chased him up to the top, then posed there, as Jeff and Karen escaped backstage.

Seriously, that three minute angle took ten minutes for the cage to be set up, and ten more to take it down. They were already behind and they should have and could have moved it to the end of the show. It was pointless and used as a reason to see the spot of Kurt rappelling in, but it was obvious when the put up three sides then stalled putting up the fourth. It really dragged the live crowd down.

6. Rob Van Dam beat Sting in a non-title match with Mr. Anderson as special referee. Anderson was announced as the guest ref. He came out limping (and limped the whole time he was out there, and carrying Scott Stiener's pipe for some reason. RVD and Sting faced off, and Anderson turned to RVD and asked if he gives up. Funny. Back and forth action until Anderson Mic Checked Sting after a Scorpion Death Drop on Rob, and told RVD to "climb!!"

RVD hit Sting with the Five Star Frog Splash and got the pin. Anderson then hit RVD with the title belt. Murphy and Rob Terry came out clapping and lifted Anderson onto their shoulders as Hogan made the "I scratch your back...." motion on the stage. Anderson acted like he turned full heel for a few minutes then hit both guys with a Mic Checks as Hogan looked stunned to close the show.

It did seem that Anderson had joined Immortal for a second and the double twist turn was very good (unless they ruin it on TV). Everyone in the crowd groaned and started cursing Russo again, but they all loved the (eventual) double swerve.

7. Chris Sabin, Suicide, and Brian Kendrick beat Generation Me and Robbie E. Fun X Division match while it lasted. Jeremy was about to win it with a top rope move when Max, who i guess thought Jeremy was trying to show him up, crotched him. Jeremy then hit a sick top rope DDT on him, and Kendrick covered for the win. Afterwards, Max threw his Generation Me wristband at Jeremy and left.

Xplosion

1. Ink Inc. defeated The British Invasion. A fun match with a lot of Ink Inc. (especially Jesse Neal) fans in the crowd. Lots of near falls and Ink Inc. won with their finisher.

Not got time to detail the full results, but at today's tapings Shaun Daivari worked a dark/Explosion match in his "returt to the Impact Zone" - he went over a hispanic looking chap (Robbie Reyes?)

april 14th spoilers

The show starts with Immortal of Eric Bischoff, Hulk Hogan, Jeff and Karen Jarrett, Gunner, Murphy, Rob Terry, Ric Flair, Abyss, Bully Ray and Matt Hardy. Hogan says it's obvious to him and the Immortalmaniacs this is the top talent in the ring. There's a stench of rotten crap though so Mr. Anderson get out here brother. Anderson joins Immortal in the ring. Hogan says welcome to the big show. For the last six weeks he gave him the chance to do the right thing. He had two choices: do things the hard way, the Anderson way, or do things the easy way, the Immortal way. Instead he spit in Immortal's face so he spit in his face. Anderson says bull. Anderson insults Hogan with his standard gimmick. Hogan punches Anderson and Immortal swarms him and begins a beat down. They hold Anderson up and Hogan says Anderson has disrespected him for the last time. He's going to regret doing this and probably won't make it to Lockdown. Because, gay boy, you don't mess with Immortal. Bully Ray gets in Anderson's face and Anderson spits on him. Ray beats Anderson down as he's held back. Immortal leaves while a beaten down Anderson is left in the ring.

* Douglas Williams w/Magnus vs. Orlando Jordan w/Eric Young vs. Jesse Neal w/Shannon Moore vs. Crimson w/Scott Steiner. Shannon Moore started trouble with Steiner during the match and Jesse Neal ran after them as they fought to the back. As the referee was distracted by Magnus and Young fighting, Abyss attacked Crimson and took him out of the match. Winner via a Roll the Dice to Williams, Orlando Jordan.

I didn't see what Abyss did to Crimson but the crowd popped hard for it and Crimson was helped to the back by security and trainers.

* Matt Hardy w/Bully Ray, Abyss & Ric Flair vs. Kazarian w/Beer Money & Christopher Daniels. Before the match started, Hebner ejected Immortal and Fortune from ringside. Winner via new submission move, Matt Hardy. He grabbed Kaz like he was going to do a butterfly suplex and then locked his legs around Kaz's waist.

* Madison Rayne and Tara make their way to the ring. Madison says she hasn't been able to sleep the last 7 days. All she does is lie in bed and rethink last week over and over again. If she had the opportunity to do things over again what would she do? If she could do it over again she'd back that bike up and run Mickie over again. However Tara has forgotten her role and she needs to remind her. Tara is supposed to do what she says. Mickie is why Tara has a job. If she continues to give her the slightest attitude she'll make sure Tara is behind the makeup counter stocking lip gloss for minimum wage. Does she have something to say about that? Tara says she does. Mickie James's music hits and she comes out wearing a sling. She says if Madison thinks a dislocated shoulder is going to stop her from beating Madison she has another thing coming. At

Lockdown she's going to finish this. Since Mickie has joined TNA Madison has been making her life a living hell. At Lockdown, inside the cage where there's no way out, she's going to show her how hardcore country she can get.

* Hernandez w/new guy, Rosita & Sarita & "The Pope" D'Angelo Dinero & Jeff Jarrett w/Karen vs. Matt Morgan & Samoa Joe & Kurt Angle. Jeff sent Karen to the back at the beginning of the match. Angle chased Jarrett to the back towards the end of the match. Winner after a brass knux shot from The Pope to Samoa Joe, The Pope, Hernandez and Jeff Jarrett. Hernandez hit Morgan with brass knux after the match as well.

* Hulk Hogan and Eric Bischoff are in the ring. Hogan says the rubber's hit the road, things are heating up and Immortal is taking care of business. So Rob Van Dam, get out here. RVD joins EB and Hogan in the ring. Hogan asks RVD not to make the same mistake Anderson did. Remember when he brought Rob in in March of 2010? The attitude he had only got him so far. Now with his new attitude he's showing RVD takes a back seat to no one. When an opportunity presented itself RVD took it and pinned the world champion Sting and it was awesome. Sting makes his way to the ring to respond. Sting says that is a lie because Rob never saw what Anderson did. He didn't see Anderson lay him out and Rob wouldn't take a win like that. Sting says he's not taking his eye off the issue and that's getting rid of Hogan and Bischoff. At Lockdown if RVD is the better man he could win the world title. If he decides to join these jabronis then the only way he's getting the title is over his dead body. RVD leaves without saying as Hogan does the RVD pose. Bischoff says Sting has had a great career but Hogan has been outplaying him his whole career. And soon, there's going to be a checkmate for him. Sting says maybe, but the checkmate is mine. Sting boots Bischoff in the stomach and hits a Scorpion Death Drop as Hogan begs him not to. Hogan begs off Sting and points to the back brace he's wearing. Sting says he's going to take a move from Hogan's playbook and take care of him on his time, not Hogan's.

* Abyss vs. James Storm. Winner via Black Hole Slam, Abyss. Ric Flair, Matt Hardy and Bully Ray come down and celebrate with Abyss after the match. They get ready to beat Storm down but Kazarian, Robert Roode and Christopher Daniels run down for the save.

* Mr. Anderson vs. Immortal in a gauntlet match announced as the main event.

* Velvet Sky is out and she looks angry. She gives Angelina one last chance to talk to her face to face and explain her actions as of late. If she doesn't like what she has to say she has no problem whooping that butt. Angelina comes out to Winter's music. Velvet shoves her twice. Angelina spears Velvet and delivers some blows. Love then grabs a chair and brings it into the ring. She DDTs Velvet on the chair and then Winter comes out and motions for Angelina to come to her. Love leaves with Winter as referees check on Velvet.

* Gauntlet match, Mr. Anderson vs. Immortal. Gunner, Murphy, Rob Terry and Bully Ray are the members of Immortal in the match. Murphy is out first. Anderson beats him with a Mic Check. Rob Terry is up next. Anderson also beats Terry with a Mic Check. Gunner is next. Anderson also eliminates Gunner with a Mic Check. Finally we have Bully Ray. Ray knocks the referee out during the match and then drags Anderson up the ramp. He drags him onto the stage and grabs his chain. Hulk Hogan comes out and mocks Anderson. He takes his brace off and gets ready to powerbomb Anderson off the stage. Sting comes out with a bat to stop him. Abyss comes up behind Sting but he eats a bat shot. Ray tries to get Sting but he gets a bat shot too. Sting surveys the carnage left on the stage and leaves as his music

plays.

Not got time to detail the full results, but at today's tapings Shaun Daivari worked a dark/Explosion match in his "returt to the Impact Zone" - he went over a hispanic looking chap (Robbie Reyes?)

That was Ricky Reyes of ROH fame.

Also, a new masked X Division wrestler (announced as being from Mexico) made his debut on Xplosion and word is that Amazing Red is under the hood.

Yeah, he beat Chris Sabin and Jay Lethal.

Some great moves/exchanges from the "new guy", one messed up move (hurricanrana at the end of a combo of moves - was a shame as everything else was so on the money).

Re: his look, he is dressed like a luchadore and at points I thought "Max Moon" as has laces coming out the top of his mask.
