MoistVaj Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 I'd have rather seen Nash get this gig, but I guess anyone is better than Todd Grisham...... Seriously though, I'm sure Booker will be quite decent at this actually, and I reckon he'll end up having the odd match too!
Sexy Dad Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Sure hope so. As far as his in-ring personality goes he could add a brilliant dynamic to the announcing booth. Hopefully Josh Matthews doesn't get bumped, he belongs on SD or Raw.
ChapManiA Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Damn, I wanted to see him have some in-ring action right away.
METAL ON METAL Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Replacing Matt Striker. Â That seems an odd move, where do you put Striker now? People slate him but I personally enjoy him especially compared to Lawler. Too good to just be on an odd match here and there on Superstars.

ozzfan Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 So Black Snow is now a commentator and he's replacing Matt Striker? Double yes!
ThePhenom Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 This is brilliant news, Matt Striker has put me off of Smackdown for ages. I might even check this out at the weekend, just for his commentary and nothing else though.
Paid Members Ron Simmons Posted February 2, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 2, 2011 Wonder if Matt Striker's "marking out" now?
Paid Members tiger_rick Posted February 2, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 2, 2011 Rubbish if they've replaced Striker. Hopefully move him to Raw to make a permanent 3 man team. No idea if Booker will be any good, I've never heard anything to suggest he would or wouldn't be.
SteelEdge Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Glad Booker is commentating, but a bit annoyed it's at the expense of Striker, who, unlike a lot of people on here, I actually like. He can be a bit annoying at times, but I generally enjoy him on commentary.
Paid Members Devon Malcolm Posted February 2, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 2, 2011 Matt Striker is absolutely awful. The occasional in-joke and insider reference and the odd The Smiths reference doesn't save him from being a nerdy fuckwit who contributes nothing. Is 3PW still going? If so, he can fuck off back there. If it doesn't, then he can just fuck off.
David Posted February 2, 2011 Posted February 2, 2011 Does anyone remember the mental commentary that Booker done on a WWE show back during his days as King Booker? If he's half as entertaining as he was then, it's going to be great.
Paid Members Fatty Facesitter Posted February 2, 2011 Paid Members Posted February 2, 2011 I liked Striker at first, particularly during the ECW and initial Smackdown stints he had. But as Gladstone said, he's awful now. He's been awful for about twelve months now in fairness. For all the stick Michael Cole gets about being a 'distraction', Striker is the absolute worst offender in terms of distraction. His ramblings during the three man announce team stints make me cringe. Â I'm going to reserve judgement on Booker as well. I recall him doing guest commentary a couple of times on Smackdown for the odd match which concerned his character or something, and he was ok. The black snow stuff was pretty funny but it's not like they're going to let him go that mental on a Smackdown broadcast is it?
Moderators PowerButchi Posted February 2, 2011 Moderators Posted February 2, 2011 Chet Lemon on Raw would be superb as well.
