Paid Members Green Posted June 20, 2011 Paid Members Posted June 20, 2011 He's definitely up there. The Social Network soundtrack was amazing and I was overjoyed he got the Oscar for it. Quote

ultimo the great Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 The remake of The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo looks and sounds like shit. Speaking of pointless remakes Fight Night looks laughable Not a fan of Pitt but this does look promising The Perfect Host I miss Frasier Quote
Paid Members FLips Posted June 30, 2011 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2011 Niles is crazy. Is that meant to be a thriller or a comedy? Quote
The King Of Swing Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Fight Night looks laughable Much like the original. Quote

Paid Members chokeout Posted June 30, 2011 Paid Members Posted June 30, 2011 Fight Night looks laughable Much like the original. Original Fright Night is a cracking film. Great Script, was one of the 80s films that poked at conventions (The same thing that Scream was lauded for) And Chris Sarandon is at his smarmy best in it. On a different note look at this for a cast If its anything like the original series / book it could be amazing Quote
The King Of Swing Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 Speaking of pointless remakes What makes a remake pointless? Insert standard cries of Hollywood being lazy and out of ideas here. In typical fashion places like imdb are now flooded with the original is perfect leave it alone type posts even though Fright Night really isn't that great sure it's pretty fun in parts (less said about the sequel the better) but it's hardly the most memorable of films for me and mush like a lot of 80's products has aged badly. It looks like one of the more interesting remakes to me. Quote
ultimo the great Posted June 30, 2011 Posted June 30, 2011 I would much rather see something original with it's own ideas than just an updated soundtrack plus a few of the moment actors playing dress up. I'm not saying all remakes are pointless but TGWTDT looks like a straight up redo (with a crappy soundtrack) and Fright Night just looks horrible. Quote
