Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 25, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2012 (edited) Can't thank you enough for reminding me about this album. I haven't listened to it for so long, stuck it on when I got in and it really is wonderful. I remember I posted about this album a few years back when I first discovered it and bAz was a big fan and I ended up sending him a copy. Â Â Everyone else - peep Rosegarden's link! Don't sleep. Paid Members Dead Mike Posted January 25, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 25, 2012 I wasn't feeling Bruce Haack at all, felt like it was going to kick in a couple of times but then just didn't. Maybe it's a grower? Now I've no fileserve guess we'll never know.  Song of the day for me. This video was released today & this is the 1st single from their upcoming 4th album. Love this band so much.
Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 25, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2012 PM sent  Checked out that Cancer Bats; first time I've heard them. I enjoy the riffs, but I can't really get into that kind of singing these days, it seems. It'll be right up my brother's street though so I'll be sure to let him know. What's good by them? Rey_Piste
Their cover of Sabotage by the Beastie Boys is pretty good. Though it's a track that doesn't really need a cover.

Steve Justice
Digging through my old boxes in the loft I came across a CD from one hit wonder Conner Reeves. Whilst 'Earthbound' was quite a decent track, I have to say that 'My Fathers Son' was far superior. I've enjoyed listening to it again. Â
Steve Justice
Â I'm also going to re-pimp this. I can't remember which thread the link was originally posted in, nor who posted it (probably Hage tbh). I just can't get enough of it. A very harsh but fucking quality track. Moderators Chest Rockwell Posted January 25, 2012 Moderators Share Posted January 25, 2012 That would have been d-d-d-daz, no doubt. Big time Immortal Technique fan. I don't really like him...

kendal mint cake
Immortal Technique is one of those guys you bum when you discover underground hip hop but end up disliking when you've heard him contradict himself 5 times in the same track. Dance With The Devil is a great tune, though.

Paid Members Burchill's Buddy Posted January 26, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2012 That's pretty good. I've never actually heard anything by them before, only heard the name in passing as a band that Morrissey recorded a few songs for before the Smiths
Paid Members Halitosis Romantic Posted January 26, 2012 Paid Members Share Posted January 26, 2012 Everyone seems to love "Cranked Up Really High", but I think that the epic cheesiness of "Situations" is wonderful - sounds like Gideon Sams wrote the lyrics.
