Paid Members nfc90210 Posted November 29, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted November 29, 2013 Ok, I've upgraded my internet and as a consequence the location of my router has changed. Anyway, I'm now trying to use a WiFi repeater in one part of the house to boost the signal. Works great with everything aside from the XBox. The Xbox refuses to connect to the internet because it is detecting two networks with the same SSID (on account of the repeater repeating the original network). Â Can I use the Xbox while also using the repeater? If so, how? Â Yes, I know there is this thing called Google. I have spent several hours on it and have not been able to correct the problem. I am now at the point where I feel like crying tears of frustration.
King Pitcos
You're probably past this point but "Select the one with the stronger signal and run a Connection Test. If it's failing to connect to the Internet in that test, then the "More Info" option in the connection test will either list a DNS Error or an Internet Error. Let us know what you see." Paid Members nfc90210 Posted November 29, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted November 29, 2013 The Xbox doesn't actually show two networks. It says it's detecting two but at the wireless network page it only shows a five bar connection, which I know is the network being transmitted from the repeater. The test fails at the network stage. The error messages then tells me that there is a problem with the connection and when I click more info it says...  Can't connect to wireless network If XXXXXXXX is not your network select Configure Network, then, in the network list, press Y to disconnect and set up your network again  I've tried that to no avail. It has also been giving me the error about two networks with the same name on occasion. It is the repeater that is the issue because when I turn it off I can get online with the Xbox. Not the best description, I know... Sounds like you're thinking of Ashen's channel on YouTube. I don't know if he does a written version though. DJM
Does anyone know of a website that compares the special features/extras found on both a DVD and Blu-Ray release of the same film/tv show? Â For example, a comparison between the extras found on the DVD and Blu-Ray releases of the Breaking Bad 1-5 Box Set.
Paid Members Maverick Posted December 1, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2013 Couldn't you just look at both on Amazon, think they list all the special features.
cobystag
I just booked a hire car for when i'm back in December. Enterprise it was, who don't even ask for a credit card to guarantee the booking. Should I be worried that its not going to be there when I turn up (and its the back of beyond, to hire a car from the airport was double the cost of getting one 20 miles away for only 2 days time)? Do many shops etc do this nowadays, I thought it was all about getting the payment upfront?  I rented a car for the day the same day you posted this from Enterprise. I made the booking without giving any card details, the car was there waiting for me but get there early as depending on the hour they might be busy and it took over a half hour before I was finally driving away.  Bare in mind they request paperwork showing proof of address (I didn't know this but lived local so they waved that for me) and that they take a
DJM
Couldn't you just look at both on Amazon, think they list all the special features. Websites like Amazon, Play, Zavvi and even the supermarket websites used to list extras, but for most new releases I have noticed that they seem to have stopped. I am looking to buy some box sets for Xmas and wanted to see if there was anything extra on the Blu Ray releases over the DVD releases.

Paid Members GlennCullen Posted December 1, 2013 Paid Members Share Posted December 1, 2013 Are there any sites that's provide live streams of US TV channels? Not just individual shows, but the actual channels themselves?
