AshC Posted Sunday at 08:16 PM Posted Sunday at 08:16 PM I think Typhoon actually came back then to sub for Quake. Makes you wonder if a Natural Disasters reunion could have been on the cards in 1994. I'd have been up for them against the Quebecers. Quote
Chico Torres Posted Sunday at 08:22 PM Posted Sunday at 08:22 PM He did briefly form the ultimate big boy dream team with Vader in Japan Quote

Tangential to the thread, but saw a clip of Booker doing a Van Vliet interview the other week where he said the original pitch was for it to culminate in a hair-vs-hair match, which makes the lost Japanese shampoo endorsement make a little more sense as the basis for the grudge. Works some TV and house shows a couple months before the SummerSlam '94 match. Then it was back to SMW. Much like the Headhunters, Brian Lee as Underfaker is a surprisingly core part of my first bit of wrestling fandom. My earliest memories of "The Undertaker" were of him being managed by the Million Dollar Man, that was the first time I remember seeing Dibiase too. That must have been 1994, and must have been Brian Lee that I saw as The Undertaker and just never questioned it for years. Quote
Chili Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago The Headhunters had two Hello/Goodbye stints. Rumble 96 and that random 1997 Raw run-in where they never appeared again. Quote

Paid Members RedTwoster Posted 12 hours ago Author Paid Members Posted 12 hours ago This guy should have come to mind much sooner than me... The Colossus of Boggo Road himself, Nathan Jones. My younger self was buzzing for the debut of this guy after what felt like months of vignettes. Then he was scheduled to wrestle alongside Undertaker at Wrestlemania - he must be good, there's no way he'd have been put in such a high profile match otherwise! ...then he's pulled out of the match because he's so shite and sent to developmental to improve. But hey, months later they bring him back and add him to Team Lesnar to fight a Survivor Series match. Was the young, naive Twoster buzzing once again? You bet he was. Even though he peaked at abysmal in the limited number of very short matches that he had on TV, I had high hopes for my boy Nate. But then he walked out on the company because of the travel schedule and PROVED ME RIGHT, having a solid enough acting career. And yeah, you might be thinking that 'walking out on a company' isn't being binned. You'd be right. I'm justifying this post because he had a little-known second career in wrestling, signing for TNA in 2008. He didn't wrestle a single match for them (after, apparently, being hit by a cement truck...) and left the company after a few months. So there's your binning. Quote

The King of Old School Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Has Pacman Jones been mentioned? Not sure if he was ever "signed" by TNA, but despite never being touched, or laying a finger on anyone he managed to become a tag champ for a month or so before disappearing again. Quote
jm29195 Posted 12 hours ago Posted 12 hours ago Does Travis Scott count? Debuted at No Way Out, potatoed Cody. May still be walking down the aisle for Wrestlemania 41 now, but never had a match and they stopped using him shortly afterwards, despite gushing all over him in Unscripted. Quote
Paid Members Lion_of_the_Midlands Posted 11 hours ago Paid Members Posted 11 hours ago (edited) Who was the big lad that Vince chucked in to that first Saudi Rumble that they did? I'm pretty sure he told the Saudi's he was the son of Yokozuna or some shit because the Saudi's wanted Yoko but he was obviously unavailable due to Chutney issues. I don't think he'd been on TV before or after and I can't even remember his name. Edited 10 hours ago by Lion_of_the_Midlands Quote
