Paid Members Supremo Posted May 8 Paid Members Posted May 8 (edited) There can’t be a better music track for this year’s Stadium Stampede. Imagine this booming over the speakers as people are smashing each other to bits with weapons and stunts. Edited May 8 by Supremo Quote

Paid Members Supremo Posted May 17 Paid Members Posted May 17 They’ve sold the building out. Mega! I was still semi-convinced it was Ospreay vs. Omega 3 at All In, but at this rate MJF’s drawing ability alone is going to bank him that Wembley Main Event. Man’s undeniable. Quote

I’d been pretty down on MJF until his title run, but he knocked it out of the park as champ. Darby is doing the same thing though and I just don’t know where they go from here. I don’t feel like he should drop the belt any time soon given how well he’s doing, and I wouldn’t be against Darby/Ospreay at All In, I could absolutely see that working. Quote
Merzbow Posted May 18 Posted May 18 The build to Stadium Stampede feels like such an afterthought but I don't doubt that the match itself will be fun, The Bucks and Kenny are always great with these types of matches and it's something where Jericho can actually be entertaining. There's a lot of great talent in general, could be the sleeper match of the night. They are surely pulling the trigger on Takeshita, right? He deserves it even more after the weird slowdown of what was once the best feud in the company. Big face turn coming here. I still haven't fully turned around on MJF because I know that at the drop of a hat he can easily fall back on the 4chan edgelord act. I hope he proves me wrong, I can't see him losing this match at all. Quote

Well, the routine with Takeshita is to get him up to the trigger point, then have him lose the big match and do nothing for six months then start heating him up again so it's probably just going to be that. Hopefully not though! Quote
Merzbow Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Genuinely one of my biggest issues with the company, maybe because he's legit my favourite current wrestler. Quote
Doog Posted May 18 Posted May 18 Interesting one this as the way the stories gone i expect MJF to beat Darby, however if the planned main event for All In is Omega v Ospreay, then potentially that means Omega needs to get the belt before then, so you risk playing hot potatoe with the belt a bit. Darby losing the title to Omega before All In seems a weird match though. The other option is Swerve winning the Owen, and Ospreay and Omega main eventing in a non title match, but I can't see that as both, especially Ospreay, have talked a lot about wanting the title. The best scenario for me is do MJF v Ospreay as the Main at All In for the title, but everything seems to be pointing to Omega v Ospreay as the Main. Theres a lot of options , and all good ones, so its exciting. Quote
Paid Members BomberPat Posted May 18 Paid Members Posted May 18 I don't see MJF beating Darby Allin, at least not this soon. I don't think they float the idea of MJF losing his hair, play into it this heavily, and not deliver on it. My theory is that MJF wanted to do a Hair match vs. Mistico in CMLL, Tony Khan put the kibosh on it because he didn't want one of his top guys losing his hair on another promotion's show, so they pivoted to Mask vs. Title for that match instead, and TK let CMLL have Johnny TV lose a Hair match instead as a bit of a makegood, while agreeing with MJF that he would get his Hair match in AEW one day instead. Between Double or Nothing and All In, there's a "Summer Blockbuster" special episode of Dynamite and Collision, there's Forbidden Door, and rumour is that there's a new PPV (Redemption) in Canada in July. Across those shows, I think there's scope to get to Ospreay winning the Owen to earn a title shot at All In, facing Moxley at Redemption to settle that story, and for Darby to drop the belt somewhere along the way, as the culmination of the story being that he's worn down from defending it every week. The challenge there is getting the title off of Darby and on to another babyface without it feeling like a heelish act to beat Darby for the belt - I think Kenny Omega challenging for the title in Canada does a lot of work to get around that. I don't know what you then do with MJF and Darby Allin for All In, but maybe a gimmicked rematch without the title in the picture? Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted May 18 Paid Members Posted May 18 Yeah I'm 100% convinced MJF is losing his barnet. You don't set something specific like that up without planning to pay it off. Quote
Paid Members Supremo Posted May 18 Paid Members Posted May 18 When they announced the hair match, I couldn’t have been more confident that Max was winning, which is why they were speed running Darby’s run. However, I’ve done a complete 180 after watching that opening segment of Dynamite, with the Invasion of the Slap Heads. It’s too perfect of a combination of stipulation and performer. There’s no-one who’s going to sell it better than MJF. He’s probably studying Kurt Angle footage as we speak. Man’s going bald and I cannot wait. Quote
Paid Members LaGoosh Posted May 18 Paid Members Posted May 18 I'm presuming MJF's getting some more hair plug work done and needs to shave his current hair off to do so hence the stipulation. Quote
