DavidB6937 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 2 hour pre show? Is there anything on it or just talking shit? Quote
Kfogg1991 Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 How ridiculous and pathetic doing a two hour preshow for a five match card. It's not to compete and try to fuck aew. Quote

I don't think they've had any matches on their pre-shows for a few years now, it's just the usual panel show with guests alongside the hype videos for the matches. Quote

That'd be why I don't usually bother then. That's way too long! Quote

MVP RULZ Posted September 20, 2025 Posted September 20, 2025 They've done 2 hour preshows for a while now I don't think they even expect anyone to watch it for 2 hours either as it basically repeats half the stuff over and over Basically it's just a 2 hour advert for the show, designed to sell it to people who tune in during the 2 hours at various points, its why they they repeat the same thing. No madman is sitting there watching it for 2 hours intently. Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Stephanie being the big inductee of the HOF is a puzzling decision. Quote

I’d stake my house on some mad oddballs doing exactly that. 14 minutes ago, TheScarlettChad said: Stephanie being the big inductee of the HOF is a puzzling decision. I didn’t watch the show, but I can’t say I agree with you here. Like her or not, Stephanie has been one of the most prominent and significant characters on WWE television over the past quarter century. If she were the headliner, it’d be justified. That said, I suspect it’ll be John Cena, and that this won’t be announced until after he’s wrestled his last match. Quote
Daaaaaad! Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 Haven’t finished watching the whole show yet but Stephanie Vaquer vs. Iyo Sky was really, really good. Perhaps the women’s match I’ve most enjoyed since NXT Takeover Brooklyn in terms of WWE’s output. Just don’t forget who the real Stephanie is, eh? ? Quote
The King of Old School Posted September 21, 2025 Posted September 21, 2025 (edited) That Undertaker/Stephanie segment was really cringe. Who thinks things like that are a good idea? Watched Cena/Lesnar, went exactly as i thought it would, a finisher spam that was incredibly boring. Edited September 21, 2025 by The King of Old School Quote

Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted September 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 21, 2025 All I’ve caught of this was the Undertaker/Stephanie bit. Could this lot enjoy sniffing their own farts just a bit more? Also hilarious how Taker just has negative aura now after so many years of playing the Deadman. Hasn’t stopped talking bollocks since he retired. Hopefully when they inevitably and depressingly induct Vince, they have Taker do it, he actually finds a backbone and gives a much deserved and long overdue receipt for this… Quote
Paid Members Kamran Posted September 21, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted September 21, 2025 (edited) For anyone who missed it, here's the new intro: The video below was shown once the show began, a ESPN/WWE montage, when Vince pops up at 42 seconds, it got a pop: Overall, I thought it was an okay show, I enjoyed the Women's title match the most but I thought all the matches were fine. The whole Undetaker/Stephanie segment was cringe. I knew what it was as soon as he came out, although I did think it was too early for that kind of announcement. Paid Members LaGoosh Posted September 21, 2025 Paid Members Posted September 21, 2025 You'd think booking a John Cena retirement run would be the absolute easiest home run possible. A bookers dream. You just do all the most obvious crowd pleasing things possible for months on end and it's guaranteed to go well with all your audience. Remarkable how they keep fucking it up. I don't want anyone to say Triple H is a good booker ever again. He's clueless. Quote
