Hello. I'm in London for the next few weeks. Based in Dalston. I know a fair few of you live down these parts in the big smoke or whatever else you call it. I've got feck all money and just need suggestions for places or things to do, as I do not know this city very well at all. Any and all suggestions welcome and anyone who wants to meet up for a walk/rob a bank, let me know. Thank you.

If you like Chicken go to Fowl think Piccadilly Circus  is the nearest underground station.

We went just before Christmas last year, the Nashville Hot Burger is the best Chicken Burger I have ever had.

Having feck all money is going to hold you back a bit because London is the most expensive place on Earth but here's some random things you could do:

1) see The Crucible at Shakespeare's Globe. Standing tickets are pretty cheap.

2) see the Summer Exhibition at The RA.

3) go to the Sir John Sloane museum. It's free.

4) go for a wander round Camden, have a pint in the famous rock bar The World's End then walk along the canal to hang about the fancy new Coal Drops Yard in King's Cross. Get an expensive beer and a taco by the water.

5) go to God's Own Junkyard in Walthamstow. It's free.

6) there's loads of Edinburgh Fringe previews/test runs taking place for fairly cheap across comedy clubs around the city.

7) go to the Barbican. It's a beautiful Brutalist building. Do the tour.

8 there's loads of great walks that'll take you around some brilliant areas. Find one that suits your interests. 

9) Hakata Ramen in Bermondsey has the best vegetable gyozas I've ever eaten in my life.

10) go see Pro Wrestling EVE next Friday. They're really great shows.

But really, London is a behemoth of a city and it can be overwhelming. There's frankly too much to do and it's very expensive.

London is the easiest city to get around, it's a piece of piss and Dalston is quite well connected.

I was about to hijack @Chili here (sorry!!) and ask if anyone had a recommendation for a good ramen place in London! My wife and I are having a wee city break soon, and living in the Scottish Highlands these days, there’s literally nowhere to get ramen. I miss it and I want it as soon as I get there! 

So cheers for that - it’s being added to the list! (Unless the gyozas are good and the ramen is shit, in which case do let me know!!)

Some more suggestions:

Bone Daddies in Soho - not 100% authentic Japanese style, but more gourmet, and bloody delicious, particularly the chicken broth ramen.

Tonkotsu - bit of a chain now, but nevertheless very good. They've got a restaurant in Soho, and one in Finsbury Park. I'm sure other Londoners will know of other branches if there are any.

Tenmaru in Finsbury Park - I went there recently, and they're very good indeed. Authentic but with some fancy additions.

Bone Daddies is a chain too, there's loads of them across London. I like the music they play in there.

OKAN in South Bank is an absolutely tiny hidden gem Japanese place that I'd recommend too.

That's the okonomiyaki place, isn't it? I think I remember them running a stall at Hyper Japan.

The best place I’ve been to in ages is Uzumaki near Tottenham Court Road. If you like anime then you have to visit.

I’m not really into anime either but the decor is amazing. The walls are covered in characters from all over the place. I recognised some from Pokémon, Sailor Moon, Street Fighter and The One Piece.

Edit: The ramen is very good too.

Visit The Japan Centre(located right by Leicester Square station and opposite the Odeon) 

It’s a supermarket for Japanese products only plus there is a restaurant inside as well as a bakery and butchers, the Melon Pan they do is amazing!
