Good matches involving bad wrestlers

For reasons even I can’t justify, I ended up watching this match earlier:

A Jinder Mahal match that is objectively good - and surely the best of his career. 

Which brings me to my question - what are the best matches involving objectively bad wrestlers?

I don't know about good but the Omos Vs Braun match from crown jewel 2022 was surprisingly not bad.

I've not watched it back, but I remember Anna Jay vs Brandi Rhodes from an early Dyamite being really good considering Brandi was pretty bad in-ring and Anna Jay had something like 6 matches under her belt at that point.

He was as good as he needed to be. He did a good job at being Ultimate Warrior and was really fucking over doing it.

Limited? Perhaps. Bad? He wasn't the kind of guy that needed to be flashy. People got what they wanted from him.

Either that or he’s casting moral judgement on both men. I’d have gone with ‘nasty, bigoted twats’ over ‘bad’ myself, but each to their own.

The problem is that there are always different metrics to measure by.

He was as good as he needed to be in 1980s WWF, because he only needed to bring the power and paint, and guys like Hogan and Savage could carry him to matches memorable for being interesting, dramatic, fun, all the things the fans needed it to be. Bring him forward to his later appearances, and his act is done. I didn't watch much wCw, but enough people on here have talked about how shit his run there was - and I have seen the Hogan rematch, which is dire. And his returns to the WWF didn't exactly set the world alight.

He was indeed a great character, but not a good wrestler - and I don't mean in terms of sheer technical wrestling ability, but in terms of being able to work matches to entertain the fans consistently and for a long time. I would go so far as to argue that the WM6 match highlights that: he was in the ring with someone who, like him, had a huge, larger-than-life character, a bodybuilder's physique, and drew fans in with his blustering promos - but, unlike him, was able to have a career with decades of memorable work. And the guy he started with, Sting, also had a much longer career with more memorable moments. 

If you want someone even more comparable, perhaps the Road Warriors? Basically the Warrior in tag form - power & paint, blustering promos, no-selling, not technically great in the ring, but they were massively over and stayed that way for longer. They didn't have memorable matches after a point, but people still enjoyed them at a middling level - Warrior couldn't even keep his work up to that low bar.

People didn't get what they wanted from Wohyah after WM7, and, with every reappearance, it was the law of diminishing returns.

Eva Marie VS Bayley was some of the best "sports entertainment" I've ever seen from WWE. 

Eva was the corporate heel and Bayley was the everyman fan favourite. They had Charles Robinson as the company man ref, as Bayley had the deck stacked against her to defend her title. 

Has every trick in the book ala prime TNA Jarrett, smoke and mirrors doesn't come into it. It's wrestlings weekend at bernies
