I didn’t think it was great, nor did I think it was the worst thing ever, but I look forward to it being played out.

Do you think being a miserable twat about a product you don’t watch is productive on a forum and in particular a thread about said company?

No I think more would have to be done for it to make sense you're right. Costing him the Owen would be a start but they'd have to find more for it to make sense for Swerve and Hangman to team up so soon.

AEW has generally been very good so far in 2025. It's just the main event death riders stuff is a drag.

I think Ospreay is ultimately going to be the one to beat Mox but I do hope we see Eddie Kingston return and get involved soon. If anyone can drag Mox and this Death Riders shit to something interesting it would be Eddie. I think AEW has really missed him.

I wouldn’t stress too much. If you liked it, you liked it. If you enjoyed the show regardless, you don’t need to conform to match how other people feel or defend feeling differently. 

I obviously think they arsed it up, but in the grand scheme of things, it’s potentially just blip on an otherwise strong 2025. An avoidable and entirely foreseeable blip, though.

The other thing worth pointing out, I think, is that they appear to be running two very similar storylines, in potentially having enemies team up in Edge and Christian, and Swerve and Hangman. They need to be careful about doing that.

But yeah, it has been a good 2025 for them, I’ve very much enjoyed AEW this year, and the female roster is still knocking it out of the park. Toni Storm is the best thing in wrestling, by a country mile.

I did indeed choose to keep my money in my pocket this month so I've only read results of the main show, but watched the 2 pre-show matches and just want to say how pleased I am Anthony Bowens rocked up looking like the megastar he could be. Love that guy.

Asking questions about whether the owner of a company blindly saying 'Everything is great' while it is evident to everybody else that it really isn't is 'being a miserable twat' now?

Fair enough.

One thing though - openly questioning things is not an attack. It's not 'negative' or miserable. It's not mean. Criticism and critique is part of life. It seems, much like Tony Khan, that unless people say 'Everything is great! This was great! He was great!' about AEW you treat it as an attack and feel the need to lash out at them. They must just be negative people and hate AEW. They clearly just don't 'get it' or watch it enough to understand how good it is.

You love AEW. Cool. Keep watching it, but understand that there will be people who don't have the same ardent, and quite frankly slightly obsessive, need that you have to defend everything it does. That's okay too. We're not miserable people who post stuff just to clog up a thread about how wonderful everything AEW is, we are just people who are more open to looking at things from different perspectives than you are. It's all good.

Scorcher's perceived zealotry of AEW's pretty much swung to being endearing with this Johnny-come-lately hounding him for stuff better posters hashed out ages ago.
