Ironic Indie Lad Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Looking forward to Forza Horizon: Mario Kart. Elden Ring felt inevitable. I could see myself playing it again as I havent touched it since about a month after it launched. I put 100+ hours into it then put it down and never looked back. Daemon X Machina Sequel!!!!!!! The first one was an extremely underrated game if you ask me. Quote

Ironic Indie Lad Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 This started out slow but has now gone completely insane with games. Quote

TheScarlettChad Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 Has GTA V been ported again? Skyrim? I'm not watching because I'm not paying for an underpowered system that costs £400 but I'll laugh if they're announced. Quote

TildeGuy~! Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 A new Mario Kart, Hyrule Warriors, Donkey Kong, Kirby Air-riders and what could be Bloodbourne 2? Were the only exclusives announced as far as I remember. That Bloodbourne like will probably be on other consoles within 6 months. Quote
RedTwoster Posted April 2, 2025 Author Posted April 2, 2025 I can’t believe the Nintendo Switch 2 Direct managed to persuade me not to pre-order a Switch. What a letdown. Quote
Dr. Alan Grant Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 An exclusive Fromsoft game was not on my prediction card. I’ll likely hold off on a release day buy*. The Donkey Kong game looks fun and to be able to play some GameCube games is enticing. *Unless the hype really gets a hold of me and a bunch of friends get it at launch to play Mario Kart. Quote
TheScarlettChad Posted April 2, 2025 Posted April 2, 2025 £500 apparently. They can get to fuck lol Quote

Paid Members FLips Posted April 2, 2025 Paid Members Posted April 2, 2025 Don't know how anyone could watch that Direct which gave us a new Mario Kart with Diddy Kong Racing features and an open Burnout Paradise/Forza style world, a new Donkey Kong 3D Platformer and an exclusive From Software game and be unhappy with it. Without even getting into the double mouse controls and compatible versions of Civ and Two Point, Gamecube classics, upgraded Switch games and fairly great catalogue of 3rd Party stuff, that was an excellent direct. Mario Kart would have sold me regardless and I'm glad they went above and beyond being different to 8 where it feels like a fresh game and not a map pack. Donkey Kong Bonanza looks fantastic. It's Breath of The Wild but instead of looking at the world and thinking "can I climb that?" you have to think "can I smash that to fucking bits?" I'll keep an eye on the From Software game, they're not 100% buys for me, but if it's anything like Elden Ring I'll be tempted. I'm not personally fussed about the Gamecube stuff as I have my modded Wii, but it's something a lot of fans have wanted for a long time so fair play. The Game Chat is a welcome addition even if the camera stuff feels fairly outdated already. The hardware I'll eat my words on because 4K, 120fps, 256gb of storage on a handheld are all fantastic and not much of what I saw today (other than the webcam stuff) looked like it was running as clumsily as the Switch does in some trailers. Prime 4 looked way better on Switch 2 so that's another guaranteed buy for me alongside DK and MK, though not sure how weird a controller and mouse will feel compared to a keyboard and mouse. New Kirby Air Ride was a surprise and another I'll keep my eyes on. I know they're not all Day 1 launch but for games within the "launch window", to have Mario Kart, Donkey Kong, Metroid as your big 3 is a hell of a launch. Quote
