In a high-scoring round with a full house taking part, there was no change in the top 3 as all of them landed on the weekly average of 10 points each. In the third minute of injury time at Hillsborough, MVP RULZ was on course to score more than twice that and move into joint second place. After six minutes of added time, he was the worst performer this matchday. Such is the beautiful game, eh? As it turns out, the only other bonuses scored were by Chutney Spoon – who didn't bet against the Owls – for getting the scoreline spot on from Selhurst Park when most of us went for a narrow home win there, since the randomly selected 'wildcard' fixture was match #2, Palace v Foxes. That allowed him to be the top scorer this time out, while at the other end Stinky closed the gap on Vegeta by two points. Elsewhere, another score draw at Craven Cottage generally proved fruitful, as did another reverse for Everton and expected away victories for the strong quintet of Chelsea, Arsenal, Newcastle, Real Madrid and Barcelona. It was just a surprise stalemate at the AmEx which caught people out as the Tractor Boys made themselves hard to beat on the road. Unusually, despite ultimo getting his D2D wrong he wasn't the worst performer and in fact closed the gap on TildeGuy by a point. The lowest scorer was instead Rory. Seven of the other eight participants duly claimed their bonus points, with Chutney Spoon the exception. Bent Wookie didn't play so we of course hope he's all right. At the bottom, Stinky is now a further point adrift of Vegeta who claimed a third bonus by being the only person to foresee a home win at the Cottage, since match #2 was the randomly selected 'wildcard' fixture. Elsewhere, victories for Villa and Spurs plus a few score draws all proved fruitful, but a stalemate in Turin and an AC Milan triumph designated as "on the road" in the derby della Madonnina caught most pickers out. Next week, there's no D2D and I've let slip the FPL Cup group draw which was originally intended to start earlier this month, so we might as well get on with it. We'll also be taking trips to both Germany and Spain in the same round, which doesn't happen often. That set of 10 should appear at the top of the thread very soon. Quote
