Video covers what I saw... EDIT: I might be going back to the one on Friday too EDIT #2: forgot, in another point relevant to that old thread, I actually won TWO of the prizes on the raffle that night too, including a bottle of Lambrini... Pro photos from Bowlers latest show popped up on my socials this morning. Of course he was all over the show as per. What baffles me is that he had max 15 people paid in attendance- with a full card, medics on hand, a decent set up he lost a ton - again. Just how and why is he funding this decades on? Quote

Keith Houchen Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 Detective Sprules to invade the show saying he has proof Bowler bumped off his mum for the insurance money. That’s a storyline that would draw 20, maybe 25 people. Quote
Paid Members Hannibal Scorch Posted May 21, 2024 Paid Members Posted May 21, 2024 Back to Progress £10 NON REFUNDABLE DEPOSIT with prices to be announced once confirmed. This does not scream professional I’m afraid. Quote

I was involved in wrestling in this country for a while in the early / mid 00s and this is most carney thing I’ve ever seen, and I’ve seen someone run a training day for 25 quid a head before a show which if you attended guaranteed you a spot on the show in the rumble (get to live out your dream) and the winner was determined by a raffle draw who then won £100 quid. This is worse than that. Quote

Well, it’s a deposit so it will be taken off whatever the cost is, but that could be £10 or £100 at this point (though it’s sold out so hope people can afford the final cost) Quote
Paid Members El Mistique Posted May 21, 2024 Paid Members Posted May 21, 2024 (edited) Sold out. Bloody hell. Fair play @MB1975 Fleece them for all they are worth. These people shouldn’t be trusted with money. God knows what they would do with it. Edited May 21, 2024 by El Mistique Quote
The Dart Posted May 21, 2024 Posted May 21, 2024 So, they are charging £10 just for the ability to buy a meet and greet ticket? That is incredible, but what is truly incredible is that people pay it. Reminds me of a Q&A Kevin Nash did many years ago where you had to pay in advance for the ability to ask a question, but paying gave no guarantee that you would be able to ask a question. Quote

I’m sure that will be net positive by the time the packages are announced and paid for. Quote

Perfectly in keeping with a wrestler who once competed on a PPV in a match where the winner was the one that did a powerbomb, which he won, without doing a powerbomb. Quote

Daddymagic Posted May 23, 2024 Author Posted May 23, 2024 I now live in a world whereby the only person defending Progress is Rufus Hound. In relation to someone posting same article I did above he has this retort: As for the tweets quoted in the article - has my view on acceptable language changed over the years? Yes. Things I tweeted with smug knowing to friends who would see the attendant irony - back when twitter seemed a fun place full of jokes and sarcasm and "banter" ? I used all sorts of words and phrases that I would never use now. In some instances because my actual view on language has changed, in other cases because kind and patient people put me right. What none of the tweets quoted actually were hateful. By this point I'm so fucking woke I'll never sleep again. So, I hope you find it in your heart to accept that people can change and that the papers have a bit of an agenda in telling you to hate the people advocating for action against their owners. Anyway, I have to go wash up. Come back to the wrestling x Quote
