Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 16, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted August 16, 2025 Yeah saw that. Hopefully this has been in the works for a while because being thrown into your UFC debut on three weeks notice is a bit of a piss take. Seems to be happening more and more lately. Good signing though. Been seeing bits and pieces about Keita for ages. Quote

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 19, 2025 Frankie nooooo, what are you doing? Quote
Dai Posted August 19, 2025 Posted August 19, 2025 Wow thats a super depressing one isnt it! Would be bad enough if it was the UFC, but BK? Sad that people like Frankie are not set for life after the career hes had, and feel like they have to do something like this in their mid 40s. Its already around 3/4 years removed from that run of bad KOs at the end of his career too. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 19, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 19, 2025 Its a bit of an Eddie Alvarez situation where the dangling of that carrot to fight again in front of your own people for a decent cheque is too much to turn down. Thing is as well, these guys aint afraid to get hit, so to fight 5 x 2 minute rounds with no grappling involved is probably a much less taxing camp than an MMA camp at an advanced age. You can see why they cross over. Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 20, 2025 Paid Members Posted August 20, 2025 Brian Battle cut after the weight miss. Harsh? Quote
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 20, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted August 20, 2025 (edited) Not really. He’s missed weight three times now, including his last fight against Randy Brown. So this was twice in a row. And it’s not like he was just slightly over. He was 4lbs over for the Brown fight in December, it went ahead at a Catchweight of 175lbs and he got slapped with a fine. Then this cancelled Ruziboev fight on Saturday was supposed to be his fresh start with him moving up to 185 and he still came in 4lbs over again. He was taking the piss. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted October 26, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted October 26, 2025 PFL have released Larissa Pacheco. Which is a bit of a baffling one to me. Former champ with a 23-5 record. Lost to Cyborg in her last fight but went the distance, which not many do, and was competitive. Had a trilogy with Kayla Harrison and actually beat her in their third fight. She’s still the only blemish on Harrison’s record. All that and she’s still only 31 years old. The UFC would be silly not to snap her up. They’re in desperate need of talent on the women’s side and here’s a top level fighter you can throw straight into the title mix and she’s got history (and the only win against) the current champ. Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted November 15, 2025 Author Paid Members Posted November 15, 2025 I’m reading that the UFC are finalising a deal to bring in former Bellator Welterweight champ Yaroslav Amosov (28-1) and his debut is said to be “very soon”. Interesting. Haven’t seen a lot of him, to be honest. Not sure how well he’ll do in the UFC, 170 is pretty strong at the moment, but it never does any harm to throw another fresh guy into the mix. Incredible grappler, one of the best in MMA. However, his whole game crumbles if an opponent can stop his takedowns, as shown in his only career loss. Quote
Bruce85 Posted November 19, 2025 Posted November 19, 2025 Kai Kara-France has supposedly been removed from the rankings. Not sure if his deals up and he’s negotiating a new deal or if he’s left. Stange decision if the UFC have let him go. Quote

I read he’s taking a break, not retiring but wanted to take a year out so they’ve removed him. I don’t have a real issue with that but it’s funny to me how little consistency there is when it comes to this stuff. Colby Covington was out almost two years after the win over Masvidal in March 2022 yet, not only did he stay in the rankings, they gave him a title shot against Leon Edwards in next fight. And that’s just one of probably many such cases. Quote
Bruce85 Posted January 29 Posted January 29 Patchy Mix has been released by the UFC. That definitely didn’t go to plan did it! Quote
Paid Members Egg Shen Posted January 29 Paid Members Posted January 29 Yeah and been matched up with some 19 year old wonderkid over in Rizin, might have to check that out. Quote
