Yeah, I saw the danger in my phrasing. 😆

Tiger is OK apparently.

Thats the one. A mate of mine works there, the staff are (understandingly) upset.

I was at Johnsons when the boy was thrown into the crocodile enclosure. The staff were incrediblely professional until the boy and family had gone off to hospital and then the emotion took over.

The staff at these places are amazing at what they do and the safety and emergency plans are brilliantly designed.

Videos are doing the rounds on social media, but not for me thanks.

This never fails to make me feel deeply uncomfortable. A man with additional support needs gets attacked in a horrific way, and your reaction is to get your phone out and film? And not only that, you still think the thing to do after all of that is to post the video online for others to see. It happens so often, the fact it’s essentially normalised really sucks. People are awful.

I’m glad the tiger wasn’t killed or injured, it’s just doing what a tiger does, but the people who filmed them posted the video online are fucking low.

The US are making noise about livestreaming an execution by firing squad in December, Proper ghoulish. https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/articles/cmy0r96xygx6o

Been in the news the last couple of days, but yeah it is horrifically ghoulish. Carrying it out at the same place & time that the original crime occurred isn’t justice, it’s a fucking revenge killing.
If it (the livestream) goes ahead we’re beyond being on the edge of oblivion

It’s also stupid on every level. I’m opposed to the death penalty anyway, but even if you’re not, live-streaming it isn’t going to stop extremism or deter anyone from committing horrific acts. If anything it turns this man into a symbol for said extremists and potentially encourages further acts of terror. Anyone else watching it will do so for ghoulish reasons as you say. Disgusting, stupid and counterproductive. Very Pete Hegseth, and very Trump-administration in general.

They are working on desensitizing us to murdering each other, works well when you are pushing towards civil race wars like the US is. It's a key step in making it happen

Honestly, I think this gives them more credit than they’re due. It suggests there’s thought behind their actions. Hegseth is an empty-headed twat, incapable of strategy beyond a level of shock jockism that extends into his politics. He says whatever fleeting thought barrels into his mind thinking he’s Sylvester Stallone when actually he’s simply a man who has mistaken volume for authority.

EDIT: And a bigot. He’s that too.
