Somehow I've never got round to watching Porco Rosso. I chucked it on yesterday and I think it's one of the most satisfying films I've ever watched. Just pure, lovely joy. I'd put it up there as one of the best Ghibli films.

I watched it last week as I’ve not seen in in a few years. It’s a decent film for sure but Micheal Keaton is phoning it in good & proper on the English dub

Yeah, Ghibli's voice casting has always been spot on, they're all great quality dubs.

In the worst Ghibli news ever, ShatGPT or whatever is now churning out the most dog awful clones of the style. Gulag every fucker that "makes" them.

Hey man, if you like it that’s all that matters,  but for me I just felt like he was half arsing it.

As @Devon Malcolm said, the voice casting is usually grea, but in my opinion it was a below par performance from Keaton. Just my opinion though

Days later I've still got a buzz from this film and am desperate to find something else that'll make me feel the same way. Don't think I will.

My wife took up Crochet at towards the end of last year. She made a few things to get used to the different techniques and what have you, but then she asked me if there was anything I could think that she could try and make that would be a test. So I asked her to make Totoro, and after a month or so she finally finished him yesterday.

 

Now don’t get me wrong, he’s adorable and all, but what that picture doesn’t show is how big he is. I’ve basically been given a newborn
