SuperBacon
That's amazingly fortuitous and just goes to show that he WAS Penske material.
Factotum
You do realise when rewatching just how fucking great Jason Alexander is as George. Its weird how Kramer was the star when it first ran, but George feels very much like an archetypal British sit-com character. The loser trying to be something. Maybe that's why that character hits with so many UK comedians etc

He's the most 'sitcom' and easily accessible character in the whole show. You could watch any random episode and 'get' him, so that's probably why he was the most popular. George, you have to invest in all the way through to get the full picture. But what a picture it turns out to be!

Jerry hints at "something" happening with Seinfeld. Edited October 10, 2023 by SuperBacon It's signals Jerry, signals.
SuperBacon
I started another rewatch, and had the subtitles on as the kids were sleeping. Never realised before that Kramer was called Kessler in the pilot, as they hadn't got the real Kenny Kramer to agree to using his name yet. It's always weird to see the original Morty Seinfeld as well.

He also has at any one time, 11 different cereals.   On 11/4/2020 at 11:04 PM, SuperBacon said: Further to this: the Benny Hill tape is Benny Hills Video Follies, the golf tape is called Saving Par From The Sand (there's another but I can't read the title), Wired PC game, a copy of Presumed Innocent, Copacabana. Jerry also has the following games: Checkers, Battleship, Yahtzee, Clue, Monopoly-New York Edition, Rummikub and something called Adverteasing. Jerry also at one point has the worst drawing of Superman ever on the side of his fridge which either he or a 6 year old did. Yes, I'm still single. Before Jerry starts buying the above VHS tapes, in the early series he has home recorded ones with titles written in marker pen. They are named: Rug Burn, Ode To Desire, Chastity, Easy Love, Gunfight, Cartoons, Lincoln Town, Boxing, On The USA, Myrna, Lips To You, Great Men, Obsession, Horoscope, Amnesia, Western Scenic. At least half of those are soft porn aren't they? He also has a book on the shelf titled Let's Have Healthy Children, which I assume an ex bought him as there is zero chance Jerry would buy a book called that. Still single. Paid Members IANdrewDiceClay Posted March 15 Author Paid Members Share Posted March 15 Saw an episode for the first time in a while the other day, and I'm still convinced that Jason Alexander might be the greatest comedy actor of all time. What a ridiculously funny man, from head to toe.
