Started a rewatch last night. The first season gets a lot of flack but I really like it.

George is just a fully-formed well-rounded character from the very start. Easily the MVP of the entire show. Him trying to decide on a character for the stakeout in episode 2 is brilliant. The way he just butts in with "I'm an architect."

George and Elaine are miles funnier than Jerry and Kramer.

About halfway through season 3 of my rewatch (I know, I'm very slow when it comes to TV shows.)

Elaine in The Tape may be the most attractive TV character of all time. I'm completely with George in that episode. 

Considering getting the whole Bookman speech printed onto a t-shirt as it's one of my favourite sitcom scenes ever. 

Jerry's stand-up bits are still awful.

Halfway through Season 5 and the quality of the first half of the series is all over the place.

The Lip Reader and The Non-Fat Yoghurt episodes are really quite bad, but then they're followed by The Barber which is an all-time classic for me. Jerry's haircut, the cheating on your barber stuff, the Edward Scissorhands 'how does he go to the toilet' conversation, George at the job that he doesn't even know if he's got or not - all top class.

I think it's quite difficult to do a 20 odd episode series without some stinkers, I'm actually surprised at how few there are. 

After seeing your post I watched them back. I don't mind the lip reader but the yoghurt one is a bit shit, except for the Constanza family. Feels like an episode with a few side stories but no main story. It's also a bit of an odd watch, with Kramer making fun of Elaine and Jerry (both of whom are very slender) for putting on a couple of pounds and then a kid calls Jerry a fat fuck.

Still cracking on with my rewatch. Slowed right down lately, sometimes only watching one episode a week as a weekend treat. Delayed gratification and all that good stuff.

Watched The Soup Nazi last night. Not a massive fan of this episode at all, but it's around this time the whole show becomes a bit 'generic sitcom' for me and relies more on catchphrases and outlandish scenarios. Already dreading getting to the 'Susan dies' arc.

Julia Louis Dreyfus is so good in this episode. Hooooo aaaaarrrrr.
