Paid Members Carbomb Posted August 3, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 3, 2020 What's the deal with Danis? He's had two fights, the last being nearly a year ago. What's there about him that he so frequently gives it the big I Am? Does he specialise in other combat sports, hence his sparsity in MMA? Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 3, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted August 3, 2020 yeh hes abit of a BJJ phemom, his credentials are listed here: https://www.bjjheroes.com/bjj-fighters/dillon-danis#
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 3, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 3, 2020 Heâs a legit BJJ guy but I donât know if heâs even been competing in grappling competitions of late. He just rides McGregorâs dick and keeps reminding everyone theyâre mates. Heâs fucking embarrassing. Always posting shite like this on Twitter; Which is all fine and dandy when youâre not only in the safety zone of social media but you fight in a different fucking organisation. People can go âheâs just doing it for attentionâ all they want, itâs fucking lame and cheesy as fuck coming from a div whoâs 2-0, hasnât beat anyone and never fights. Chimaev turned pro a month after this prick and is already 8-0. Shit, he fought more times in the last month than Danis has in 2 years. And even though itâs getting silly seeing him calling out guys like McGregor, Masvidal and Diaz already, at least heâs calling out guys in the same promotion. By planting the seeds now, thereâs a chance, however slim, that he lands one of those fights a year from now if he keeps winning. Danis is making challenges and claims he knows full well he wonât have to back up, and canât contractually. Why isnât he calling out Douglas Lima? Or even MVP? Anyone. Not that I think he should even be at that level yet but if heâs talking such a big game, why not shoot for those fights that Scott Coker can actually make happen? If he spent as much effort actually fighting AND talking shit and building himself up that way as he does being McGregorâs full time man slave and trolling fighters that actually fight, he might be somewhere now. Look at the attention Chimaev has gotten in just a month, almost solely from fighting. Then imagine what Danis couldâve done in 2 years in Bellator if heâd taken his tongue out of McGregorâs arsehole every now and then. And you still get McGregor fans lapping it up and talking this nob up as if heâs a killer. Itâs comical. One guy I used to work with was arguing with me one day, just after the Khabib vs McGregor fight, that Danis would KO Khabib in a fight. Seriously. His reasoning being that Danis landed a clean shot on Khabib in the post-fight brawl and Khabib âbuckledâ ? that obviously means heâd win in a fight where theyâve both trained, there arenât 15 other people involved and Khabib hasnât just fought for 20 minutes. That one punch during a mass brawl in a crowd of people proved Danis wins every time. Obvious really, isnât it? By the way, that kid got sacked just before Christmas for coming in hungover one day and still getting on his forklift, taking about 15 feet of racking out and nearly ploughing into about 6 people. I wonder what he was drinking the night before.

Following what was probably his most impressive win, the head kick KO over Gregor Gillespie, this is bound to be disheartening for him. It's been a bit of a rollercoaster for Lee over this past two or three years. Edited August 6, 2020 by WeeAl
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 6, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 6, 2020 Israel Adesanya switching things up; Heâs bringing out all the insecure homophobes on social media lately. I donât know if he is gay, who cares, but I actually hope he is now and keeps kicking arse. Just to melt the fragile brains of the knuckle draggers who wonât be able to wrap their heads around a gay man being one of the best fighters on the planet.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 7, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 7, 2020 (edited) Anderson Silva vs Chael Sonnen 1 was 10 years ago today. Paid Members Carbomb Posted August 7, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 7, 2020 Question: what's going on with Stun Gun? Checked his Wiki, he hasn't fought since 2017. He's too old for national service; has he been injured?

It was such a fun time. We get so much of the Bravdo now and whilst he's just total pantomime, I'll always love me some Chael Sonnen. I was shitting bricks watching that fight.

Paid Members Egg Shen Posted August 10, 2020 Author Paid Members Share Posted August 10, 2020 liking this fight for the headliner of the final of the 3 night Cage Warriors return. A Mason Jones win there surely ends with him signing with the UFC.

Paid Members WeeAl Posted August 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2020 This is the type of fight I would still be interested in seeing Weidman in for the next while. Re-matches against the guys who beat him. The old middleweight elite. Rockhold, Jacare, Silva. I don't want to see him in there with Adesanya, Costa, Hermansson, Whittaker, Cannoneer etc, at least not unless he could rack up a couple of good wins against the older guard of the division. https://www.mmafighting.com/2020/8/11/21363136/morning-report-luke-rockhold-postponing-retirement-interested-in-rematch-with-chris-weidman

He does alot South Korean TV show appearances nowadays, probably makes more doing that than fighting tbh. He is a well known and popular sports figure there. I believe he did his military service when he was young.

It seems a shame - his record wasn't bad, and his style was such that he probably could've continued to make money at a high level in the UFC. Stun Gun vs. Lawler could be a fun fight, as could Stun Gun vs. Alan Jouban.
Paid Members wandshogun09 Posted August 12, 2020 Paid Members Share Posted August 12, 2020 Yeah, I liked Stun Gun. Just looking up his record now and itâs a bit better than I remember. His only losses are to Covington, Woodley, Maia and Condit. And even the Maia loss was a bit of an odd one that ended quick due to injury. There were decisions he won that people strongly felt he lost. The Matt Brown one was considered controversial at the time but I remember thinking a lot of that was overblown and down to Rogan doing his âI donât agree with thisâ face when interviewing Kim post-fight. What I remember Kim most for though, is that period where he went nuts and started just marching guys down. He basically became Korean Zombie #2 and it provided us with 2 of the best knockouts ever. Here he is sparking Erick Silva; It was some fight and a hell of a KO but I always felt like this fight was a big part of why Silva fizzled out so suddenly. This and that Matt Brown war/beatdown not long after it. And of course, the spinning elbow of death that wiped out John Hathaway. Really doesnât get brought up enough when the subject of best MMA knockouts of all time comes up. Itâs not quite Yair vs Zombie or Barboza vs Etim but itâs not that far behind for me...
